Hottest dining destination in Canada? The city Canadians love to hate

Toronto is being singled out as the hottest dining destination in Canada right now for the “flurry” of new lease signings, restaurant openings and brigade of young, inventive chefs, described as the “culinary equivalent of skinny jeans.”

^^^^^^ I HATE Toronto!!!! 55555 Of course they dominated the lists of two magazines that are published in Toronto.

Toronto does not just feel they are the "Center" of Canada, they feel they are the center of the Universe. Its a cold, windy place with no scenery worth speaking of, so they build Canada's largest phallic symbol, the CN Tower. There is good reason why the rest of Canada hates it, and believe me, it is not out of envy. The vast majority of Canadian media is headquartered there, and so we have national sports channels like "The Sports Network" (TSN) which always leads with stories about the local Toronto teams for the first 10 minutes, before they get around to the fact the rest of the country has sports teams as well, which is why its known across Canada as the "Toronto Sports Network". National news on both of the major networks will always deal with big stories out of Toronto first, if there is even the slightest thing to report there, while again the rest of the country gets short shrift.

Its just an attitude that anyone from Toronto radiates that says "I'm from Toronto, and the rest of you are just peons." Well screw them all, we hate them and laugh as their football, baseball and especially their precious hockey team (The Maple Laughs) finish dead last year after year. It proves there is some justice in the world after all.

Ok .. that felt really good!! 55555 Always wanted to do a public rant on "The Big T.O" as they call themselves.

I liked Toronto as it has awesome strip clubs. Though not as good as Quebec City's... 555

Favourite wee town in Canada is Niagara-on-the-Lake. Though not been to Vancouver yet...

Funny I liked Toronto, and thought Vancouver was a bit over rated, but one was early to middle of a trip and the other was at the tale end. Did spend a bit of time in Toronto over two trips, staying in Scarborough when the arrests of Barnardo and Homolka were made for the sexual murders, including Homolka drugging her own virgin sister so her husband could rape, but she overdosed and died. It was massive news when I was there.

^^^^^^ Actually a very sick pair and a really tragic series of murders. Karla lured two young girls into Bernardo's clutches and then aided him as they were both tortured, raped and later killed. Ugly stuff.

^Yeah, Not quite on the Fred & Rosemary scale, but pretty evil nevertheless. Sounds like he did most of the killing. Can't believe he'd be ever set free. Amazed that she was...
