Haven't been suited in CM yet....

I've been in Chiang Mai for 2 days now and haven't been asked to buy a suit yet... WTF??? 555. Soo refreshing and nice. So different now I don't have to fight my way through the street being hassled for suits or massages.

I love wandering past tailors screaming... I need a suit... a SUIT!!!!... I need oneeeee....

They ignore me... must be the dribbling...

You try finding a suit when you really need one...

What have the Tailors ever done for us..

    Well they take in trousers..
    Ok yea
They let them out as well......
    Yes but
    Pretty good at stitching....
    Ok
Can say hello in 20 different languages.....
    Maybe
Always have waistcoats, even though nobody wears them anymore...
Fine but apart from than that, what have they ever done for us......nothing

Better than those ruddy Romans though

I must admit I don't find anywhere in Thailand too bad for hassle. I'm always surprised it's mentioned... it's nothing compared to parts of North Africa... then again, those girls, have you seen them? Can't walk down some Sois without them jumping on you...

Certainly the roads around town and the entire area are ghostly quiet. The majority of businesses shut down for the whole week and it seems that people tend to hang around the baan.

Can`t remember the last time i got harassed to buy anything here in CM...rare occurrence.

The only time I get harassed is when I walk past the bars at the moat end of Loi Kroh but that's because I'm a handsum man.

This is my first visit to CM. I just spent 12 days before that in Kata Phuket. Everyone is saying its pretty quiet after songkran. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of farangs around. Had dinner and a few drinks last night at Good View restaurant/bar. It was great. My TW and I met up with her friend. Good night. Mao mak mak. 555. We're up in Chiang Rai now. Heading back to CM probably tomorrow.

Just stay way from that Butterfly bar. One of the girls will trip you when you walk past and then pick you up of the paving. I thinks its her way of picking you up so to speak 555. (nice girl though)

Keep an eye out for Briofoz and Cat, they're here too! Most of the 10,000 + farang-expat residents are at home or may be found in air-cond shopping malls. 40c isn't a good time to be out and about.

Don't forget to visit DUP, if you haven't already, and The Dukes for ribs. 2 of CM's iconic establishments! DUP roof bar and bbq on Friday evening is a must. Perhaps we can all meet up this week?
    Cheers, Rob.
Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting: holy s.h.i.t what a ride!

Butterfly and Dragonfly are across the road from each other with Butterfly being on the same side as Ramming and Dragonfly being across the road.. Easy to mix them up though.
The Dragonfly bar does have a FB page if you want to have a look at the talent.

One of the girls in Dragonfly chats most days with me on FB. She has become a good friend over the past year (freind only) Nice girl.

69 was a good bar until Stu sold it and the girls moved on.

I am no-one in Australia and a VIP in Thailand. I pick the latter.
