Just moved back to Gold Coast.

    Hi Lads,
Just joined up here on a reccomendation. Just wanted a bit of help and was told this would be the place. I've just moved back from Thailand with my fiancee and our son to the Gold Coast. She doesn't know any Thai birds here, and nor do I. Can anyone point us in the right direction or does anyone on here live around the Coast. She is finding it quite hard I think without mates, and some contact with Thailand. So, any advice, help would be very much appreciated. I am 35 and she is 28.
Thanks for any help in advance.
    Kind Regards.
    Hope you are all well.
    Cheers.

Welcome Bonny, sorry don't live there but a good place to start is your local Thai restaurant...

WTTB Bonny.....it may also be worth doing a google on local Thai temples in your area, that's if your lady likes to visit once in a while.
The only thing that will stop you from fulfilling your dreams is you.

WTTB Bonny. This is a good place to be, we are all very friendly and happy to help when we can. My family is moving to Brisbane very soon, so may be able to organise a catch up. You guys will be fine.

    WTTB Bonny,
For phone contact with Thailand we find the best cheapest deal, is LYCA it works on the Telstra network but is only 3c a min to mobiles in Thai and less to landlines.

For sure Condo and Ning will be able to point you in the right direction.

What part of the coast are you on? if towards the South there is a very large Asian supermarket at South Tweed Heads.

Check with the Council comunity services, they should know where the groups are, and also if she needs to learn English, where to do so cheaply.

    Cheers,

Optus international Pre paid. because I live in the country and it has way beter coverage than Lebara (Vodafone) Best for me 2c minute to Thai mobile. Cant remember about flagfall if it has one? Must check. But quality excellent dial and bang you are there and it is like landline to a local number.

    Welcome Bonny.

I have Thai contacts in Brissie. But I think this is already coverred by above.

    Cheers All.

Flit between Raby Bay and Jimboomba. Raby bay is closer to the city and houses the boat and my children. Jimboomba houses my heart and where Dao prefers to stay with country people.
