NY Times article on South Africa trip

Our South African friends may like this.
I liked it because it was a bit off the standard articles you get on a South African article.

PS-Africa and South Africa is one of my dream trips

Not sure I'd have risked opening the window... even if they did all seem to be asleep.. 555

My only experience was in a pie making factory managing the gravy team

As a kid I did many a trip through Hwange national Park in Zimbabwe with my folks and various visiting aunts and uncles in the family station wagon. A work colleague of mine goes up to Kruger every year with his wife and daughter in tow. He uses his pickup with a canopy and camps in one of the designated campsites, no problems.

Rather like LOS, Africa can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be.

Whilst I agree that he missed a great opportunity by not visiting Cape Town, if his intention was to visit Swaziland and Kruger, Durban would make sense in terms of travel distance and time.
