A warning to not get drunk in the bush!!

Python Swallows a man in the KwaZulu-Natal
Hi guys, here's a bit of a shocker for those of you who like wandering about in the bush or unexplored routes and roads.
It took 8 men to load this python on to the truck. It swallowed
a man after it found him drunk and sleeping next to the N2 road in Mkhuze, KZN on Saturday. Had it not been spotted,
the python would have remained on the same spot for up to 8 months while it digested every piece of the man's body,
including skull and every bone in his body.

Maybe he was trying to have his way with the snake and it decided he'd be a tasty snack after a good shag- 555

or was it a woman . . . perhaps this should have been posted yesterday, 1 April?

Python eats woman in Richards Bay hoax
A message going viral on social media claims that a giant snake swallowed a woman near Mondi.
22 January 2014 09:27

DEPENDING on which version of the story you read, the overstuffed python swallowed a drunk man in India, an unknown woman in Richards Bay, a man in Qujing, China, a person of unknown gender in Indonesia, or a four-year-old child in Malaysia.

All of the above canít be simultaneously true, obviously.

Hoax Slayer, a site that aims to debunk email hoaxes and expose internet scams reported the claims in the message were untrue.

The very same picture has been circulating in other contexts since at least September, 2012.

Earlier versions claim that the snake in the picture swallowed a drunk man asleep by a roadway, in Indonesia after floods hit the region.

************

Yet another version, posted in March 2013, claims that the ailing snake was rescued from a game reserve, but ate the expert that was riding with it in the back of a van on the way to a lab for treatment.

Snopes: This photo has been claimed to depict a serpent that
• ate a man in Qujing, China, in August 2012
• gobbled up another person in Jakarta, Indonesia, in January 2013
• swallowed a man whole in Panama in February 2013
• swallowed a woman near Durban North, South Africa, in June 2013
• then made its way to Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, to gulp down a 4-year-old child in October 2013
• all before slithering off to India to chow down on a drunken man outside a liquor store in Attappadi, India, in November 2013.

Bloody snakes are taking over everything!!!

On Monday night the Rugby league match between Gold Coast and Townsville at Robina, the match had to be delayed because there was a big Brown snake on the field!!!

I just drove up the road here, and there was 3 LARGE snakes on the road, 2 dead 1 moving all big Browns.... that was in less than 2klm

^ I see lots of road kill, but maybe only a live one about once a month. One house between us and a large undeveloped area with overgrowth and a stream where I'd say there's a few, as long as they stay that side of the wall. I've had two in-the-house encounters and not thrilled about those, one in the toilet/bathroom where we were staying, second at our last house, in the kitchen under the fridge (forgot to tuck its tail in) at 6am going in to put the jug on for coffee, it's a very quick way to wake up.
Neither wanted to leave.
RIP house snakes.

We have a swamp/jungle block next door fronting onto a lake.
Certain times of the year we will see them daily, slithering across the patio or up adjoining banana trees.
Only had one small tacker in the house - we were alerted by the cat.

Hoax or not, a snake could easily devour a man.

For those who didn't see the thread in the Downunder area, I posted one about a snake that fought and ate a croc in front of witnesses. So a man would be no challenge at all. Especially if he was unconscious.

What leads me to suspect this particular case was a hoax is the fact that the snake still has a full belly. They tend to quickly regurgitate whatever they've eaten when disturbed.

One of our tradies killed a snake yesterday ... "tom yum gnu" he announced, slipping it into a plastic take-home bag. 555

Eat or be eaten ...
Cheers, Rob.
Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting: holy s.h.i.t what a ride!

Plenty of snakes in that town 555!

You could have a glass of this wine with your soup.
