    Coming back to reality.

It is tough coming back to reality. I'd rather just pull the blankets over my head and go back to where I was a month ago...

Now... it's tax time and all that paperwork...

And only the local deer population are enjoying the long grass in my back yard.

But, with the trilliums out, there should be a few trout feeding in the Cowichan...

Despite the high water in the Cowichan right now, there are still a few places where Peter and I can catch a few tomorrow.

The taxes can wait a few more days...

I have one, but I do all the paperwork first. I prefer hard copy on paper rather than just the computer forms. It saves me money and the tax office is less likely to send a snooper around if my forms come from an accountant.

I firmly believe people should do what they are good at... So I chuck my paperwork in a box and let my accountant deal with it...
I your case, stick to fishing and hunting, trout or Thai lady... Don't make your head ache with $hit your accountant can do twice as well in half the time...

But up to you, time is not really an issue, is it? 555

I used to do my taxes myself.. Took me a night... Maybe if you have everything by hand and indexed it can go quicker..555
Thought an accountant was expensive, and they are..

But the first time I let an accountant do it for me.. He came up with deductions I had never considered, and delivered twice his own fee...
    No-brainer since..

I actually LIKE to keep my own records... just as I have kept a fishing diary for over 55 years. I see patterns forming in my life style and the environment around me. I analyze everything from people to fishing to money spent. I find it easier to pick up my old account records books rather than a computer layout, and I can instantly see where my money has gone. I DO write off many things using my art and writing business that most people don't have.

I agree with that. That is why I let them do the finishing touches.

Never mow a lawn like this.. Why are people so scared of nature?

I do enjoy nature in the wild. I leave my yard a bit that way intentionally... and not just because I'm lazy.

I was REALLY tempted to "harvest" this nice buck. He was better than the ones I saw when I was out intentionally hunting them.

The various species of birds in my back yard require different types of food.

I've got a sloped property and I've terraced it into a rockery with a couple of small ponds. It attracts lots of critters.

Taxes are not that complicated unless you fall under AMT and have deductions from several sources, then you'd better CYA with an accountant.

I agree with DP, Ian. Fantastic place. You're a lucky guy.

And I haven't done my tax in 4 years. Gonna do it this July. The man owes me enough money to go around Europe.
Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.
