I think I had that for a short while with Pui, but you all know how that ended. We were both flawed to a certain degree, but we really cared for each other. Nothing before or since that in Thailand... other than the close relationship I have with the two kids (now adults) in Kanchanaburi. They both call me "Daddy" or "Father". That is genuine.

For me it’s a real negative of the Thai experience for me. I have been more times than I care to think about and was as one of the girls called me nasa space station. But I had many great where i really cared about the girls and am still in contact with about 5. It really hurts to see some of the bad decisions they made and how genuinely hurt they are. I was genuinely the best person I could be and for a short while made them feel good. One girl in particular ended up with a guy and had a kid with him. Every couple of months she contacts with bruises broken nose and one time a broken jaw. She always goes back but one time she asked me why I didn’t choose her as her life would be better. It got me in the heart. One girl broke me. Literally. I don’t think I will ever recover but I would still do anything for her. Strange how that is.

My favourite stand up this week is James Acaster. He has a series of 4 linked stand up shows on Netflix. I find him hilarious but others think he is sh1te. I love the way he links all the shows by connecting jokes. He has a Schtick that he is actually an undercover cop that was sent to infiltrate a drug dealer that sells drugs to stand up comedians. I haven't laughed out loud as much in ages. He goes on to say he was reprimanded for continuing performing as a comedian instead of returning as a cop but turns out his superior officer is working undercover as a booking agent for stand up comedians.

I love the dry humour and in my opinion his storytelling is superb.

No, not remotely. To me. Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor I always thought entertaining sort of... but not in a make me laugh sort of way. And Leary I honestly never thought he was supposed to be funny?

Nothing like Curb. It is anarchic humour. Like a modern day updated Young Ones.

How about Brooklyn 9/9? If that doesn't work then yes, James Acaster is it. 555

Snap. Rik mahal was a genius. Remember their recording of living doll with cliff on top of the pops. Flashback.

Yep. He was a genius. Even his brief appearance in Blackadder was genius. Lord Flasheart or something. Loved Blackadder too.
