This Is the Average Man's Body

Here is a really cool article discussing the average man and the changes to average through time. It is not a new article....but it thought it was cool.

Increasing obesity is a big problem in the UK now, we're catching up to the Americans (myself included)

The fast paced lifestyle gives us an excuse to eat poorly and not exercise consistently. When we had to chase our food.....we needed to be much thinner and fit to survive.

Body fat percentage is more accurate a predictor... BMI is pretty random. My fat % is around 16% but my BMI is almost over-weight in indication.

Admit it, you're a big lump of lard

Noticed a change in last 12 months with food shopping in Oz. Supermarkets now devoting far more space to ready-to-eat fresh and frozen meals.

Interesting to see Thai CP frozen meals now available.

    Cheers, Rob.
Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting: holy s.h.i.t what a ride!

When I was 21 I was 75kg and a stick for my frame just skinny as.
40 I was 81 and low on fat and training hard that's where I would like to get back to though I head towards sunken cheeks at that point so frame size has to come into it one thinks??
According to the above I would still be a fat bastard.555555

I'm the same weight now as I was when 21 (77kg). But I am not quite happy yet... I still think I could be fitter... 55

But if you have added muscle since you were 21... then your body shape will change... hence why body fat percentage is a better guide than weight or BMI really...

I heard something yesterday that I haven't heard in decades. "You've lost weight..." My self esteem increased and everyone asked why I'm looking so happy? Then three hours later I ran into an old friend I haven't seen in 10 years. He says. "You still eat a lotta pasta I see.." Cnut...
