    Funny story... true or not

An acquaintance sent this to me. I don't have a clue if it really happened or not, but I thought it was funny...

We were just seated in a booth at a local restaurant, my wife with her back to a man in the booth behind her and me facing my wife and thus the other man's date. The woman was on her Cell/Mobile phone talking intently to a friend as we sat down.

They were served their food just after we were seated, the woman still on the phone.

She continued talking on the phone as she ate.

Even just being able to see the back of the man, I could tell by his body language he was becoming very upset with the woman.

She continued on the phone for the entire meal, talking loudly and annoying everyone seated within earshot.

The phone conversation ended when the server brought the check.

    Now the REALLY good part.

The man said to the waitress, "We'll have separate checks, please."

The woman's mouth dropped open and she said "But I didn't bring any money. We're on a date and you're supposed to pay".

The man replied "You're right, we were on a date. You have a phone. Call your friends to bring you some money. You talked to them all night and ignored me. Ask them for a ride home, too."

At that, the man walked to the cashier, paid for his meal and left the woman sitting there dumbfounded.

I am with you Tingtong, but I think I would have just got up to go to the toilet, settled half the bill on the way out and just left her there waiting for me to come back.

If the story is true, then good on him for doing it. Next time she might remember to take some money out with her or leave her phone at home

This is why women don't deserve to be paid as much as men. Like Jim Jefferies says, not because women don't work as hard or aren't worth as much, but because guys need that extra money to pay for movies and dinners and stuff.

I've met a few like that and we dated... ONCE. I got rid of a bar girl one time who spent too much time on her phone. I forfeited the bar fine but that was all.

a couple of weeks ago I went to my nephews wedding in Sydney. Itwasatan old sandstone church, lead light windows etc.
Out side, inside the foyer and even in the church, there were BIG signs saying " No Mobile Phones allowed!!"

You can buy jammers from ebay. They block everything within a 10 meter radius. Bet you can have a lot of fun with those.

I had an instance with my wife about 5 years back

We went out for drinks and dinner and had a great time........I paid of course.
Walking home I said something in passing that she misunderstood and she went crazy
I tried to calmly explain to her she wasn't understanding what I meant.........she really didn't understand
But she really lost her cool and ruined the whole night

I made her pay me back for half the dinner 555

Yeah, I do get how he feels.
Years back I went on the "Date from hell" and to cut a long story short, similar treatment.
The way out is to pay your way because you are the one that instigated the "Date" but leave them in no uncertain terms that you are OUT and leave them on the spot without taking them home. They will surely find a way.
Personally, and as a Gentleman, I wouldn't try to leave them with half the bill.
Hey that's just me. I can make a point without trying to weasel out of the cost unless we had agreed to "go dutch" well before the date.
And where the hell was Biggles.....?....when you needed him last Saturday....?

PUBLIC WARNING ... DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!

I had a mate in High school, he was 6'5'' and he was with a Chinese girl less than 5'

They had been to dinner and were driving back to her place in Ryde, they were on a main road 3 lanes each way, near ch 10, can't remember the name, and they had an argument.
She made him stop the car and got out walked up the road, he followed and eventually picked her up off the ground held her out at arms length intending to carry her back to the car.
She was hitting his arms and screaming at him, then she reached down and took off her stiletto and drove the heel into both his forarms, he let her go and she fell to the ground spraining her ankle...guess who was the bad guy?? 5555
Other friends that had been to dinner with them were in the car behind and said it looked so so funny.
No mobile phones or vids in those days

i hate mobile phones...always have since i got my first 25 years ago.
people these days can't leave them alone. worst is when amongst a group and someone takes a call and has to speak loudly to make themselves heard, so the others have to stop their conversation so the call taker can talk loudly and listen.

i find it more polite to stand and walk away and try to end the call as quickly as possible....isn't mixing with the people you're with more important? ....or do you finish up eating or drinking,go home and call them to catch up 5555
    it don't make sense!!

My brother is a pathological liar and he has so many issues tp list......his worse being the most self centerdd person i ever met

We were in Toronto for our wedding dinner and out to eat at a Thai restauarant with all our friends and family and he loudly takes a call at the table and thanking whoever profusely.
He gets off the "call" and announces he has been awarded Limo Driver of the Year.
My sister later tells me she could see his phone wasn't on a live call.....the lunatic was making it up 555

At work, if someone try's to BS me? I'll call them on it every time. Considering what I do for a career and where I come from, it's insulting to me if someone thinks I'm a some chick at a bar...or their mom!55

I think it really does help a work environment if everybody is at least honest. I've got more dirt under my nails than most anyone..."please don't think I'm stupid. And please know I've made as many or more mistakes..I get it."

I'll give people several changes to come clean..."I think your not telling the whole truth...final answer?"

I hate liars. Or like Paul says, pathological liars.

i tend to try and ignore but it's a bit frustrating that someone with the mentality of kid thinks they are smarter than the rest when the opposite is the truth 55

seems to go with that turf.
i know some that have bleated their whole life but know very little about their audience.
