What attracted you to your wife / GF / lover / regular ?

Prompted by our new BM Bron's thread "Mesmerized by a smile" what did first attract you to your wife / GF / lover / regular. ?

May sound strange but for me it was her English.

The biggest thing is her honesty.
She is so honest, it is almost child like.....in a way
I don't mean honest with me......I mean in everything.

When she gets screwed over by her friend or feels wronged by day her boss.....she has such a hurt because she just doesn't do that to people.

Physically.....her laugh. The most unadulterated laugh I've ever experienced. If she is laughing, she means in

Her interest in sport, we met when I was in a surflifesaving event through mutual friends. Good English and a secure career, three points of difference over others I had met.
    Six years +, all good

    Her even temperament........555555
Smile, sense of humour her have a go mentality her caring nature with others.
Ability to put up with me.
Her strong mindedness which is such a double edged sword but non the less an attractive quality.
There are other points of coarse but those are the main ones...7 plus years now.

she was the prettiest gal at the (Issaan) wedding....and she kept looking over at me, catching my eye and smiling each time...she was dressed beautifully in a patterned 1950's style sundress with a little short sleeve cardigan over the top for modesty

when the ceremony was done she came over and introduced herself...."you not remember me...I am Kru A, your friend from FB"....and she laughed...the laugh of a woman without a care in the world...after that we talked and laughed for the rest of the day and night

It really was her cheeky happy smile in that first photo I saw of her, a profile picture on a website I have long since forgotten ... attached is a recent photo ... Mrs M has still got that smile despite over a decade of putting up with me .. 555

Not quite (I don't either) but when I was coaching rugby in Phuket, orphanage boys, she decided to help out with the girls, marching, running, passing games using a volleyball. Good way to make friends with other adult helpers too

Originally I was interested in what FIRST got you.

When I first met my wife I actually had a TG hear on a TV and a friend introduced her to us just 3 days after my now wife arrived in Australia.

I became single again awhile after and a group of friends were going for a ride on the motorbikes and all had wife's / GF's. So I asked her if she would like to come. We both had no interest in each other purely friends. However over a few months we both grew to know each other. I soon realise what a great lady and very different to past ones. The English and it was clear she was well educated what got my attention in the beginning but as I got to know her learned so much more about her.

When I first met her I never expect to date her, let alone marry her.

Sounds like the opening scene of a movie... she must have something unique to trouble your routine though Baccy... confidence can be so sexy...

So if it wasn't exactly love at first sight, how long was it before you realized it was too late, and you were hooked?

For me I think it was my "Surprise sandwich". Here's an excerpt from an old (old) TR....

Nowadays, hot meals are on the table like clockwork.
I have also shown her how to make a sandwich for me to take to work. Just a simple cheese and pickle the last few days.
    Last night she said
"Honey, tomorrow I give you banana sandwich?"
So I said great, just sprinkle a little sugar on it.
Imagine my surprise at mid morning today as I start into my
    Cheese,pickle,banana and sugar sandwich...

I'm going to try that Banana sambo tomorrow.

Seriously I love her rice soup in the mornings, but the real time I realized I was hooked was when we split for awhile. I started to realise how good she was and what a great lady I had let go.

I went to Chiang mai for a few weeks and none of the girls interested me. I went to the pubs in Perth and the same just not interested and always thinking of her. I knew she had plans to go back home and didn't even know if she was still in Australia but eventually had the courage to contact her. She was hesitant to see me but agreed to meet me. As soon as we both saw each other it was all tears and cuddles and that was when I asked her to marry me.

Oh that sounded like a soapy 555
