    Puerto Rico TR

I've been on business in the US for about 8 days and have to be in Chicago for business for a couple of days beginning of next week
So since I was in Washington DC I took the 3hrs and 20min flight to San Juan Puerto Rico for 4 days.

Puerto Rico is in the Caribbean but is a US territory. Their citizens are US citizens and have American passports. But although it has very good infrastructure like the US it is it's own country and it's very own culture.
You definitely have US culture mixed in like sports bar and bar food but it really has a fantastic culture.

What's great about San Juan is you have historic Old San Juan with great little cobblestone streets and authentic restaurants and 10mins away you are on a gorgeous crystal clear beach.

Honestly, I love living on the west coast but knowing i can fly to PR and places like the Dominican Republic in 3hrs for 3 day weekends make me seriously consider a move back to the East Coast some day

I'm staying at the Hilton Condado Plaza.
Condado is the more upmarket part of town and has one strip on the beach with a bunch of 4-5 star hotels and bars and restaurants.
The hotels are great because their lobby bars are very entertaining.
They always have great bands and there is always p4p girls at the bars.... especially in the Casino hotels.
I've never taken one...I wouldn't be against it, it just never has come up. I've heard the are around 3-4k baht per night and there was some gorgeous ones I saw tonight.

There is also tons of single tourist girls and I think you can do alright with them.
Last time I was here was when I was 25yrs old. We did well with very pretty local girls at the disco.
    But I was 25yrs old and 30kg lighter 555

One thing I love too is at the hotel pool the waitresses are always dancing when not serving customers.
They aren't even really my type, a bit thick for me but they dance so freaking sexy that they become attractive.

To get around they have Uber. I took 3 Ubers today, all the cars brand new and my biggest fare was 140baht.

Every service person I dealt with at the hotel and restaurants were fantastic

Pics of my dinner and hotel beach
Dinner was about 800baht with 3 beers and it was absolutely superb

This is a local bar area with a bunch of bars and restaurants.
Picture a Bangla Rd but as sort of a square not one street.

I'd say it is 90-95% local.
Without exaggeration, it may be the livliest bar area I have ever been to.
I don't think I have ever seen people just have so much fun.
Beers where about 30baht and every bar has a merengue type band and EVERYONE is dancing.

Tomorrow, Friday night is supposed to be even better

    Nah - just re-learning being a bachelor.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!

I've always done my own laundry.
My wife cleans the house spotless but besides that I do everything else on my own.

    One thing about Puerto Rico:
There is a ton of blacks from America on holiday.
I am staying at the Hilton which is a nice hotel but at the lower price range for a 4 star hotel so a bunch of blacks staying here.
They have been cool as hell, most pretty damn funny but they are so fucking loud!
    Like insanely loud.
It really is a cultural thing

PS.....I might have a better view on it if all the girls weren't 250lbs!! 555

Although speaking from someone who is a loud American(not in a rude way, my voice is just loud) I've honestly never gotten that.
I travel and see Brits as the loudest, in general and Aussies ain't shy either.
Germans can be loud but not boisterous.

Anyways....these fat black chicks make me look like a church mouse.
To the point it is spoiling my holiday a bit.
It is absolutely a culture thing and they are just having fun but I think there is a level of consideration for others around you that everyone should have.
I mean at the pool yesterday there was no way someone could relax and read a book.
That is bad enough but just walking in the lobby they are yelling and screaming.

Last night I was at one of the hotel restaurants and a group of them walked in and literally started yelling from the entrance of the restaurant to their friends in the back
I just got up and left

But I just decided I will walk up to the other hotel and use their pool today. No biggie.
My room is awesome, location is great and the nightlife is awesome so I am not going to let them ruin my brief holiday

    Old San Juan

This is like any typical Latin America old quarter with colonial buildings, colorful houses and little cafes.
It really is gorgeous although in the day time yesterday it was too frigging hot, I lasted only about 1 hour walking around.

Here is some pictures of the fort that protected the city and just sike street life.

I went back out at night and the bars were definitely good but not as fun as I thought they would be.
I think I am just going to stick to the hotel bars tonight.

Here is some pics of the hotel and view from my massage balcony.
The balcony should be half the size and add that footage to the room. The room is not small but the balcony could fit 20 people, no need for that.

    Puerto Rican food:

I haven't been that impressed with the authentic Puerto Rican food I have had......but I'm never really impressed with Caribbean or Latin American food other than Mexico.

That being said....their higher end, fusion type food is fabulous....some of the best I have ever had travelling

This picture is Mofongo.......it is their national dish.
It is stuffed plantains with any sort of meat or fish you want. This was with pork.
It was actually pretty good but why such a heavy dish in such a bite climate seems weird to me

Such a waste of prime real estate

Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.

    My last night in PR.
I checked out of the Hilton this morning and went to one of rhe most amazing, hidden beaches I have ever been to.
You get to it walking up a sand path in the jungle then come up on just pure beauty.
Not really too crowded.....just a bunch of PR families with tents and BBQ'ing

I've been blown away with almost every interaction I've had with local PR.
    They are just very nice.
    Particularly 2 younger girls.
One was the waitress at this little taco stand. She sat with me while I ate and just chatted away. No sort of flirting like it would happen in Asia. Just like a younger sister chatting
Then a beautiful girl was my Uber driver. I was shocked when she picked me up. It was about 11:30pm at night. But she was smart and cute and funny.
But honestly everyone has been amazing. All the staff at the hotels and restaurants just really nice.

The 1st I was on that local area La Placita and was turning a corner and this big, mean looking PR guy spit just as I was turning the corner and almost spit on me. Totally by accident and he couldn't have been more apologetic.

The weather was superb, I'm blown away at how clear the water is right in the city
And it's awesome just hanging out at the hotel lobby bars..... albeit a bit expensive at 200-220baht/beer

I'd probably come back but I'd likely pay you and stay at the Ritz-Carlton.
The blacks at the hotels are just way too loud and really put a damper on my holiday a bit.
My last night, I wanted to just sit on the beach and read when it got less crowded at like 5pm but they were yelling and screaming.
And I can't think the hotels love them too much because they are constantly walking around with booze cups from their room and security has to tell them they can't have bottles of their own booze at the pool.

But all in all, it was a perfect 4 day break between biz trips

    Will post pics later
