Fark me - I would have thought the guidelines for taking a gun and amo would be water tight - not tight enough, obviously !

You can take a gun and ammo separated in checked in locked luggage, have to declare it of course.

They had no record of the gun.. or the passenger.... weird?

Law enforcement officials told NBC News they believe the lone gunman arrived on a flight from Canada, picked up his firearm at baggage claim and began firing.

Canada's largest airline, Air Canada, confirmed via Twitter that it had no record of any passenger by the gunman's name — nor checked guns — on any of its flights to Fort Lauderdale.

I wonder how flying to Chicago on Tuesday morning will be from Vancouver now
    Been a breeze lately

Obviously that doesn't matter vs what happened today, just popped into my head.

I need to fly to 5 US cities, including one in Florida very close to Ft Lauderdale.
    Security should be real fun

I think UK police have killed 5 people in the past year.... The US is almost 10x as big, so maybe expect police to have killed 50 people? Instead it's closer to a 1,000.... is the US really that much more violent than the UK? I just don't get why there is such a discrepancy?

These trigger-happy 2nd amendment warriors need their guns to express their pro-life attitude!
Incidents like this is just "collateral damage".. ?

If the Police don't routinely carrry guns, then less chance of being shot. Run away in the UK and all you have to be is faster than the Policeman or Women to get away. Run in the USA and you find it hard to run faster than a bullet.

That sounds really heroic, but it works both ways.. So in the end it's about who draws the gun first..

And I know who that is!
The one with ill intentions has the advantage of the first move,
The one with little respect for life has little conscience holding him back,
    etc., etc..

Allow guns in the streets and you allow violence.. Simple as..

Its just so easy to buy a gun in the USA,

I don't personally like guns but my travel buddy Chris does. When we were in America we went into some gun shops to have a chat and a look. Its way to easy to buy a BIG gun.

However its not guns that kill people its nut cases with guns. I'm sure if the gun laws were tight like in Australia they wouldn't have so many issues.

Whats it like to buy a gun in Thailand? Do they have rules about it?

Or do you just go down the road and buy some gun of the guy on the side of the road like in the Philippines.

Could you imagine Northbridge on a Saturday night if we had the same gun culture as the US?

I know Nicke had a legal gun and I don't remember him having too much trouble buying it
