At 39 you are still young and can start a new relationship, have a family etc but just remember if having kids they are expensive and retirement in 5 years may not be option.

I did the bucket list when I finished work, ticked of all bar scuba diving in the Antarctic under the ice. The problem with bucket lists is you keep adding to them think mine is now full again...55

Sounds like you are on the right path, just take it as is comes and if you start a new family just try lots out to you find the one.
When I mean retire I mean not continuing the fee earning work. That’s the killer and my skills are better served in business development. I don’t want to wait to retire to start a bucket list. I lived the life of a rockstar until my mid 30s traveling the world and getting into adventures that make Keith moon look like a choir boy. For the last 7 years I have lived to work and although traveling to Thailand over 40-50 times, building a successful company and being a well known expert in my field, I feel that my life has stalled. For example I haven’t been away since last June and my calendar is completely full until December 22nd. That’s not living. But I have negotiated three huge contracts the last month.

Ape hangers are OK as long as they're not over the top, like 22" long - 14's are pretty comfortable and manageable !

I wasn't a huge fan on apes on bikes, until I rode a bike with them, I had 14" on my Roadking, now I have 16" and luv them, would like to try 18" to see what they are like. Obviously depends on your height and the style of bike. They do recommend that when seated your hands should not be higher than your shoulders.

I laughed my ass off at work all day today

Next week I have customers coming in and the whole desk is going to the beach at 1pm after work to drink beers and play spike ball and bocce

Hard to walk away from that......

No way I would have ape hangers. I don't like the ones tucked close to the frame, either. My personal preference is for dirt bike style, but not too wide to impede me in traffic. The touring bike style is just about right.

In ten years I'll probably be sitting here reading this thread thinking:

"Wow, it's hard to believe that it's 10 years already since they started this thread"

and "....it's a shame what happened to DP." ...555
