With tear-jerking vids, puppies and people coming together..

Something to look back when you feel down and want to uplift yourself..

And most BM's respect this, post accordingly..
But one is deliberately trying to sabotage this, no clue about the reason, probably thinking he's funny...

Just not my sort of humor, and since everyone is entitled to his own opinion, here's mine..
Thanks Rak I appreciate the post

But SE is just taking the piss and I think it's been pretty funny 555
(Although his last few vids were lame)
And that is my sense of humor. SE and I have the same sense of humor

It's DP that is the evil one in this thread
He didn't agree with the thread and has tried to undermine it, bastard!

But I really think there is a place for feel good videos that are separate from funny videos
Others have posted some cool stories so people seem to like the thread

Sounds hoaxy, but feel good stories show a lot of the world is good

Get a box of tissues ready 55. Seriously, this made me teary eyed too. It has dogs in it and a few people helping people as well, which we don't see enough of, but reality is that most of the world is actually people doing nice things.

People always want to be cynical and negative
But the vast majority of people are good people

You see it in every day life
If you happen to see an unfortunate incident or an accident you see people instinctively going to help
More times than not, more people than needed to help

    Yes there is that aspect
And we've seen many where you are wondering why they didn't put their phone down and help

    I'm a helper
Don't know if it's because I'm a good person or to feed my own ego
Probably a bit of both 555

I will randomly walk up to you if you are holding a map
I'm a huge directions helper guy
    Love giving directions!

I do that all the time in Chiang Mai when I see tourists trying to figure out where they are and what they might want to see. My phone in Thailand is connected to all sorts of apps including GPS and Google Earth. I've got a built in sense of direction and seldom get totally lost. My ex wife could get lost with a map and compass in her hand, and someone pointing on the map where she was.

Professionally, I have stopped at quite a few incidents and accidents..
And I agree that people in general do want to help, but they just have no clue, especially when there is blood involved.. Collective shock or something..

But this goes to the point that I have to address one bystander individually and shout in his/her face "Call the emergency number now!.."
" You, stop traffic!".. "You, make people give the victim one meter of space!"..

And as soon as emergency services arrive, I give them trauma scores and bugger off...
Cold bastard as I am, I have no interest to see how it ends or get information of the outcome.. Professional deformation?

I've done that more than a few times in Canada, and twice in Thailand. Blood doesn't phase me because I'm an old hunter, and I was the official First Aid attendant at a logging camp where things can get real messy.

One time in Canada I had to tell a registered nurse to shut the fuck up and follow my lead. A female pedestrian had been knocked into a water filled ditch and the stupid nurse was screaming "Don't touch her until the doctor arrives!". It was March and the water was cold and deep. I told the car driver to get some blankets from a nearby house and we could carefully get the injured girl out of the ditch with the help of a supporting blanket. When the ambulance arrived they were rougher handling the girl than I was. The girl survived okay and her parents thanked be afterwards. The stupid nurse was their neighbor.

I think people mostly realize their limitations and it's quite known you can cause more damage to a person

    Example
This lady got hit by a car in front of my building
She was crossing at a green light and the car turned right on red into her
Many people went to help but no one moved her
She was very animated so a couple people were just trying to calm her down
A couple made sure the driver stayed at the scene(without force)

We see it on TV a lot where they tell you don't do anything medically
Maybe a towel to stop bleeding or something

I realize that and appreciate it.

But, 1. Call emergency services, 2. stop traffic and 3. give a victim space to breath..

Everyone should know and respect these simple rules!

And that's what I see usually happens
1st thing you hear immediately is people yelling to call 911 or yelling they have called
Over hear all that has been drilled into our heads

When dad was unresponsive the person on the 999 call was instructing me what to do until the ambulance arrived... I didn't like her advice as I knew it would decrease his ability to breathe if I followed it.... she kept saying.. do as I say, I am a trained professional... I still ignored her... the ambulance crew on arrival confirmed what she was saying was wrong for the situation... and were pretty angry with what she said... could have killed him there and then had I followed her advice...

Last night and today, my GF complained about pain in her left lower abdomen.
She can eat, is not sick, has no fever, last period a week ago, no problem with urinating or defaecation..

All I can say is "I don't know, see a doctor if you don't trust it.."
A doctor "looks" with his hands, giving advise by a phone cal is next to impossible...
