You just don't see this any more. If I bumped into this guy though I'd totally get into a conversation with him about whatever.

This clip is literally like a low budget movie but you can't help but keep watching. 😁

Kind of like trying to explain the difference between "Loose" and "Lose" to someone who never paid attention in English studies.

Talking to strangers is a trait I picked up from my mother. Mother would talk to anyone, anywhere at any time. My father was the exact opposite. He was the classic taciturn Scot, and only spoke when spoken to... and yet he is the one who could have used my mother's gift of the gab, because he was an insurance salesman. But, my father's attributes were he was honest to a fault and his handshake was like it was etched in stone.

I will smile and talk to anyone if there is something worth talking about. There is a bit of camaraderie between bike riders... both bicycle and motorbike. I've often walked up to people who have bikes and just start talking. I don't recall being frowned at or turned away. In BC there seems to be a bit of a connection between bikers and most of us give a little hand wave as we pass each other. I don't do it in Thailand because virtually everyone is riding a scooter.

Something I noticed about New York city is everyone keeps to themselves and won't make eye contact. I wander around like the second coming of Crocodile Dundee. That is what my older sister introduced me as when I went to visit her in New York.

Thailand was a special treat for me when I first arrived 20+ years ago. Everyone seemed so friendly: both tourists and the locals. Same with the Philippines, but in the Philippines it seemed like all the males were trying to con you into or out of something. The filipinos had more scams than you could ever think of, and they seemed to make an art form out of it. That seldom happens in Thailand, except for place like Pattaya or the Nana Plaza area of Bangkok.

    That's the North End
Best Little Italy in North America

If he lived down there he would know every single family so asking those girls that would be like asking his little sister

I'm on that street, Hanover St, every day when I go home
I'm not a coffee drinker but my sister doesn't stop talking to me when I stay at her house so I go to the cafe every day for a cappuccino to get some peace and quiet 5555

I want to live in Boston for a bit.

I thought he was taking the Mick when asking the girls if their parents knew they were out.

    Nah just banter

It's sort of tribal, well back then
Because families were so big you were sort of known by your family and whose brother/sister you were
Just how you identified back then

There's definitely something mesmorising about it.

8:00 Which school you go to? The niggers giving you a hard time? You take a shank with you? The Irish broads are kaka 55555
Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.

    I can translate 5555

He asks where the kid goes to school
    He said "Charlestown High"
That's my neighborhood, where I grew up
    It's 100% Irish
But has bussing so a lot of black kids go to that school
And of course, Irish girls 5555
