I have never ridden a scooter in Thailand... too scared... 555. Even though I have motorbike licence... I just don't like taking risks in my old age... 555

Here are a few more photo's from around the island, great day out just riding the scooter and having a look, see a bit of a road or a big d/way and point the scooter down there, alot of hidden places to find. The girls took us to a small river/creek and we had to have a picnic lunch sitting on a rock in the middle of the creek. There was a few other families doing the same so must mean something, apparently for good luck, was good under the big trees out of the sun.

No.............We were riding our scooters past the jetty where the ferries arrive/leave for Suratthani and called in for a look. I was supposed to be going to Suratthani to pick up a Visa but believe it or not the Visa was sent back to Phuket by mistake. They wouldnt send the Visa on by courier so I had to return to Phuket to pick it up, I wasnt impressed retuning to phuket for 2 hours 555

The ferry from Samui to Suratthani is about 200 Baht oneway, we were going to borrow the sisters car and drive to Suratthai for the day, I think the car on the ferry was going to be about 600 Baht, I was looking forward to that trip.

You had to go back to Phuket to pick up your Visa? That is annoying!

I'm a late comer to Samui... not sure why I took so long to get there... but happy to be going back... it has the best airport in the world!

Do you hire a car DP, or are you a Taxi man ? You need to get around the island and see the real Samui, not just lay on the beach during the day and sit at a bar at night 555
