Ah Zablive, I have fallen also by the wayside and abbreviate all and sundry. I have the best of both worlds though, Australia is an amazing country which offered me a great education but I maintain my Asian'ish if that makes any sense. Dare I say it 555!

    Welcome Jessica,
Are you living in Oz or Thailand?
What part of Nong Khai do you come from?
And can I ask (if you don't mind) what your Thai name is?....

Hi PatongBeachBoy, yes Nong Khai is very peaceful and many of our family are from Laos, so its wonderful spending quality time there.
I live and work in Tasmania, having been to University at Flinders, Adelaide. The cooler state but one that enjoy very much. My Thai name is Sunan.
NongKahi, our home is just by Friendship Bridge on the banks of the Mekong.
I see you are in Melbourne, just across the water from me, also a nice state. Thank you for the welcome.

    Welcome to the forum Jessica.

As you've probably gathered there are a lot of guys on this forum, many with Thai wives or long term girlfriends. We do also have a few Thai ladies who have joined in the fun... so I hope you feel comfortable here.

    Welcome Jessica,
It is indead great to have a lady with full knowledge of both cultures, I'm sure you will be called upon for advise, same same as many of our members wife's and girlfriends have been aske to advise or to explain things.

You will shortly advance to a higher level, where you will be able to learn/read a lot more about us and this forum, the aims and expectations. Basically we are interested in all parts of LOS, all locations and culture.
We are not a forum defined by a particular location.

Although it may seem there isn't many ladies as members, many of the Men's Thai wifes and girlfriends, will contribute from behind them, many a bit yet reserved to establish their own membership, hopefully they are starting to feel more confident and will expand soon. Maybe the husbands should go on strike, to force them out of the closset 5555555 Yeah Big chance of that!!

You will find we don't always agree with each other, creates healthy discussions, but we have never got to a arguement, unlike many other fourums. I believe the reason for this is we have attracted the type of people that have respect for other's and respect their right to their opinion.

I look forward to your input.
    Cheers,
    JC1
