    Thanks for the welcome everybody
Bangla Rd is still a lot more lively than Auckland on a Saturday night.
Love the sex and sleazy atmosphere

AKL [late night illegal clubbing] was great way back when 10pm closing was L.A.W.

they were good days but I can remember 6pm closing when a bottle of blackberry nip
and a fumble in the back seat of a Ford Prefect was an exciting Saturday night.

555 I wasn't game to mention THAT far back! Remember Granny's night club owned by Muso Tommy Adderley? A hip-flask of Port went down well with the girls.
Later, my job as South Pacific Hotel Duty Manager was to clear the 'snake-pit' at 6pm.

Remember Granny's well, Tommy Adderley was pretty darn good really. How about some of the other places, Monaco, Galaxie and I ran into this bird at Olivers Changing Times and she's in bed beside me now.

I'm trying to recall, was the South Pacific on the corner of Queen & Customs St or up on Princes St? They have all been rebranded several times now.
Interesting times we grew up in, a lot of fun but NZ was and still is a very small place.
