    New Kiwi

    Hi all,
About to head off to LOS again but could not find my old Phuket- info forum. I see with sadness Nicke has left us. I also see some familiar names here, so here I am. Cheers all.

Thanks Josho, arriving 18 Aug, spending 4 nights Bangkok, then off to Chiang Mai 6 days for the first time. Finishing off with 5 days at Lamai (was there last year and loved it!) Really hanging out for the break!

Thanks for all the welcomes and tips guys.
Am getting quite a few ideas from the forums and your posts about some must do's in Bangkok and CM. A soapie at Annie's looks to be an early excursion! Other half also quite excited about the prospect of spending a day or two wandering the shops in the Siam centre mall which is only going to be a couple of skytrain stops from where we are staying.
The river cruise/dinner on the rice barge seems to be a trip worth doing. Anyone got any recommendations about this, and how much does it cost?

If thats the twilight dinner cruise it`s well worth doing as you see the place in the fading light on the way up and the night lights on the way back.
The food and traditional Thai dancing thing was ok too.
Plus it`s much cooler out on the river.

I`ve done a couple of times but a few years ago now and was about 12-1500 baht including pick up and drop off from your hotel.

    Hi Rrrodders,
The waterfall trip in Samui is nice. A long walk to the top but worth it. The trip took us all around the island and to the big temple as well.
Aside from that we didn't find too many interesting things to do except sleep, drink, massage and party. We will try harder this time so keep us posted if you find anything really good.
We will be there after you guys.
