    Farang Exits

Here is a website that documents how Farangs* (Anybody that is not thai*) Leave this world.

Well worth just looking through to remind you of the things that can go wrong and also to keep your common sense close at hand.

    What about the NASA guy..

Pol Col Ekarat Intasueb, chief of Mae Sot police station, said Muller was found with a rope tied around his genitals and waist and another rope tied around his neck, hanging from a knob of his bedroom door.

He said there was no sign that the American had been assaulted.

Equipment for injecting crystal methamphetamine, five methamphetamine pills and several sex toys were also found in the room.

Muller appeared to have died from asphyxiation or from a heart attack after a drug overdose, police said.

Seen a couple of these deaths by misadventure before in farangland .... but there is something just plain wrong about someone getting his own rocks off whilst in Thailand....555

yet another Is Thailand Safe? type article, but this one had made a graph from the last 10 deaths of the Farang Exits website
100 too low to be a real stat, and also these deaths are only the reported ones, and as FE says -
This site is by no means definitive and should not be treated as such; our research suggests less than 20% of expat deaths are reported in the media - eg age and illness-related deaths.
    anyway, here it is -

Also noted from the FE site, two Australians died in Phuket yesterday, one health-related the other a motorcycle crash

Didn't david carradine, the actor who played 'Kung fu' in the American western series, die in Thailand like this?

You would think that more women whould die of "sexual asphyxiation" than men...cough...

And doesn't word 'asphyxiation' look like something you should have to cover one eye and read from a distance?? 55

when it says unexplained does it mean "we have an explanation but for the family's sake we'll just say cause of death not known"?
for example where Viagra or similar involved - is a heart attack 'death by natural causes' when brought about by a mix of pills/alcohol?

One on that site that I never saw any English-language coverage is this one from April - saw an item on Thai TV at the time; seemed the passenger train had a flat car wagon as well and this young German guy and his friends were playing about on the empty wagon when the train crossed through a narrow bridge, he was leaning over the side and got wiped out by a bridge support and body fell to river below.

    Cheers, Rob.

Didn't one of his wives divorce him because he rung her on the telephone from upstairs for a cup of tea?
