Is this business or pleasure C1?
My only experience was in a pie making factory managing the gravy team

I always managed a side trip to Macau on my way to Canada back in the 70s & 80s.
There was only one (legal) casino then!
    Loved the food.

When I used to stop there often.....many years ago.... Like 8-10 years ago......I thought that Was Chai area was great.
Some great pubs, 2 really good discos that had tons of girls in them and then, a sight you have to see.....the 3rd disco that was packed at 12-1pm in the afternoon on Sunday with all Filipina nanny's on their day off

There was also these websites, Robert knew them well......they are really, really hot girls set up in apartments. You go for just ST. I only did it once, I didn't really care for the scene, felt too trafficked.....but the girls were so hot.

Then, for non p4p but still some available you have Loi Kwan Fung which is a bunch of bars and restaurants on this L shaped cobblestone Street on a hill.....people spilling out drinking outside. I loved that area

As for prices.....I can't remember but it wasn't outrageous back then. Maybe 90-100usd

I also went with the most beautiful girl I ever met. She was from Mongolia...... Met her in Lan Kwai Fong

You wouldn't know the place today. Like a mini "Vegas". All the big names, Sands, Venetian and more.
All the high end shops and glitz...likely never leave the resort you're in..

Rule 1 : Get everything at the airport. (Where I'm typing this now).

Octopus card $59hkd refundable, gets you everywhere on the MTR, also doubles as a payWave for all the little things like snack or water.

Airport express ticket to Central Hong Kong. $85hkd one way excellent value and service.

SIM card for your phone use 1010 shop 5 days unlimited 5gb data $118hkd

Download the MTR app before you get there.
Plan every trip in seconds with all the stations and directions.

Don't bother buying things like ferry tickets in advance. You can get them in minutes and be on your way.

Forget about shopping unless you want to troll all the high end shops.

If your TG is coming the Big Buddha is a must, but go early to miss the massive queue if your taking the sky lift thingy....
    More later....

I used to get pop-ups till recently advertising some airline called something like Hong Kong Air that advertised a $75 USD one way trip from HKT.
    Dunno if its still there.
But my real issue was where to stay - everything looked like a shoebox and cost $150 US minimum...

Also , what season is best for MINIMAL tourists - I dont care about weather or month...

I typically get to HK 2 or 3 times a year. Just booked about two weeks accom in total for 2 trips via an Accor sale. A$100 to $120 for Novotel (4 star), and A$80 for Ibis (3 star). Ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan is very good...the harbour view is magnificent. Ibis North Point is a shoe box, and I would avoid this one. Novotel Wan Chai is close to bars and clubs, and Novotel Kowloon (on the mainland) is close to the markets. Outside the sales, typically can get good accom for A$150 per night.

Flights are still cheap, and many options (at least from BKK, KL or SG), and I think Macau flights may be subsidised as they seemed cheaper again.

Re tourists, I would just avoid the Chinese holidays.

Don't forget the bungy in Macau...third jump is free!

A night at the track is nice also

Wow summer in Hong Kong, you are gonna sweat a LOT. 5555555

I would go to the Victoria Peak early in the morning and i mean early about 7am or so to avoid the crowds. You can walk around the Peak, see old folks working out...etc, nice view also depend on weather.

You can download the Guide Apps from Mobile Apps | Hong Kong Tourism Board

Yep. Wanted to avoid this also. Stayed at Crowne Plaza Kowloon East A$159 (US$120) a night but big hotel 5 star feel, in a full size 70m2 suite.
There is a MTR station right next to the hotel so it didn't really matter it was a bit further out.
The hotel is perched on top of a shopping mall (Popcorn Mall) where you can get great asian style food from places like "Toast box".
Also the obligatory 7/11 as well
