Any Patong Hotel recommendations for 3 newbie guys - GF and pool required

Three youngish guys who I know via my work are heading to Patong next month and have asked for some help with selecting a hotel. Although all three of these late 20's early 30 year olds are single (in the legal sense) they are trying to be discrete about the real purpose of the trip ...

Even though only one of them seems to understand the concept of "guest friendly" fully I have no doubt that this will be one requirement their lodgings must have and they also seem keen on a pool ....

....as the GF requirement is not one I have had to meet myself for a few years, I find I am a little out of date.

I see my old favorite the Orchid Residence is still there on Soi Sansabai but they don't mention the pool up the road anymore on their website - has it been redeveloped away?
Patong Hotel Orchid Residence accommodation from 650 THB in Patong Beach

The Expat seems to still be there but I only ever really liked their pool ...

There was a Patong Villas or something on the beach road but damned if I can it on the net ...

So pool, guest friendly, staggering distance to Bangla and I guess up to 3k a night-ish

    HELP !!!! (Thanks)
    Life is the unexpected ...

+1 , also if they are staying for more than 5 nights , there is a free pickup from the Airport if they email the hotel direct , they sometimes discount the room also , if you ask for the best deal

3 guys at a hotel budget up to 3000 bath a night..
Wouldn't that budget open the option of renting a resort style house of serviced appartment? More privacy, more fun?

Nah. Not for this lot. Not this time round anyway. When I say 'newbie' I mean totally new - never been to Thailand etc - getting from the airport to the hotel will challenge them.
Also they are still in denial to each other about the real reason they all want to go there if you get what I mean.
    Enjoy.

I'd strongly suggest that newbies stay at Summer Breeze Hotel. [Pool is 50m away] Reasoning, as first-timers they'll possibly need coaching and/or the honesty of Bill and his staff. They can book suites, very comfortable, esp the rear ones which are quieter too.

From memory, another BM stayed at WE Hotel recently, it's new and has all amenities ... worth checking out! We Hotel@Sansabai Patong : Boutique Hotel in Patong,Phuket,Thailand.
    Cheers, Rob.

yes you are both Correct Meece and Slampay ! But i for one have never been big on swimming and pools or beaches ! They are not high on my list of priorities . However they way i read Minders pre requisites , these boys will ! So im presuming that they are looking for a pool inside the hotel grounds.

Especially as is their first trip ! They will want that resort feel , but on a "BOYS" holiday !

WE has 2 pools on the roof.
Not sure if it's changed policy but heard +500 Bt for GF. Worth checking out. Summer Breeze pool is in soi behind WE and in all my visits I only used it once... nice pool too!
    Cheers, Rob.

    Anybody mentioned Kelly's hotel.

Never stayed there myself, but me the owner on a plane from Singapore to Brisbane 18 months ago.
He seems like a real character and the place gets pretty good reviews, so sounds like it'd be worth checking out.....

How much to go into the BB Pool at San Sabai now? I think there were renovations couple of years ago.

sheesh....i hope you had your earplugs with you...Dan could talk the hind legs off a donkey 555

its an OK hotel...up on nanai hill so its a bit of a walk to bangla 15-20 mins...small swimming pool and rooms in need of a gentle touch up but value would all come down to price...I used to get a standard room for 1k a night...and for that it was pretty good value
