    New Beach Clubs Patong Beach???

I don't know if any BM's have been to Patong Beach recently

Looks like there is at least 1 maybe 2 new beach clubs.
They seem attached to hotels but look pretty good.

I hope......we are staying right across the street from the beach and that is right up my ally

Well unless there is a bunch of asshats there

I usually try to stay away from the beach (in Patong) as I just can't get any sleep at night otherwise. 5555

I enjoy my sleep and need at least 7 hours a night to make sure I'm not walking around like a zombie the next day. 5555 I remember a few years ago staying at @White, Soi Sansabai and it was like torture. All I could hear was this woman from Wicked bar screaming till 7am. I was thinking fk does that place ever close? 555

I'm usually an early riser too though.

That's the issue with travelling with my wife in Thailand
I prefer to be away from the action but close so quiet
She wants to be right in the middle of action solely so she walk to street stalls for food!

So I am worried about where we staying be too busy

I'm giving the Swissotel a try for a couple of nights late Jan.
    Looks decent for kids.

You Swissotel looked good......although has changed hotel brands a lot, which is peculiar

But it's on that side street that is not so busy

I don't want to be right next to Bangla for 5 days but my wife likes being able to walk out and shop/eat
So we ate staying at Surf Hotel for 3 days
Then moving down the beach to Holiday Inn Express on Hatpatong Rd which is a bit more open and quiet for last 2 days.

I'm happy with that because both pools offer different
Surf has a nice view of the beach and mountains on its rooftop pool
Holiday Inn Express has a nice lush quiet pool.

I spend a ton of time at the pool on holiday so a good pool area is very important to me

That is the problem trying to type ANYTHING on a cell phone... tiny keys and fat fingers. And, Auto-correct often guesses wrong.

Beach Clubs ......I like them for the cool 'chill' , 'cafe del mar' type music they play . But I dont like when there built right on the beach and their way over the top prices.

I like "no music" places when I am at the beach...there is plenty of ambience with the natural sounds of surf rolling in, kids playing, birds singing etc etc without some Fkn DJ bringing his ego into the equation ...that's why I go to the beach in the first place...to enjoy the natural beach vibe

It is exactly the same thing in a bar or restaurant. I don't want "music?" so loud that I can't hear the person right beside me when we are talking. The owner of the Maddog café in Chiang Mai has over 100,000 songs that he plays in the background. It is mostly the blues and other soothing songs. It is pleasant to listen to without being intrusive. When I climb in the mountains above the city I can just barely hear the noise of the city far below, but it's mostly just birds singing, running water from the many streams, and monkeys chattering in the trees above.

The thing that turns me off on Patong is there has never really been anywhere at all to hang out on the beach at night.

I remember me and Jim found this tiny place once.

And this place doesn't seem like an all out Beach Club
Just a biggish hotel restaurant that comes out a bit onto the sand

I just want a place that I can sit a table on the beach or a barstool and drink some beers

Hopefully this provides it and is not too full on
