    Thai GF gets car sick

One issue noy has had since bring my GF to Australia (other then the weather) is that she get very car sick whenever going in the car. In LOS when in a Taxi she would put her window down and feel a little better, but here is too cold to do that. I have gotten Travel sickness Tablet for her which work, but make her sleepy and not want to do anything. The other night we went to the Casino and she was too tired to want to do anything.

I have heard of a Travel Sickness shot but do not know anything about it, has anyone used this before? how long does it last? Any other ideas to help out?

Advice for fisherman is to focus on the horizon and plenty of wind in the face. Thus, look straight ahead as looking out side window (including for air) makes it worse. Looking inside the car will make it worse also. Use the vents rather than a window so you can get the air but can focus straight ahead. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

G4 .... just reading this post ... did you know your English is getting more "Thai" every day? 5555

examples .... "since bring my GF to Australia" .... "she get very car sick" .... "she get front seat everytime" You writing is undoubtedly starting to reflect the way you talk to Noy in English. 55555

As to the car sickness, here is a good link for parents who have kids who get carsick, but its basic good advice and might help. It does repeat much of what has already been shared, with a couple of other additional tips.

Try Ginger Beer or some form of ginger Motion sickness - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ginger root is commonly thought to be an effective anti-emetic. One trial review indicated that sucking on crystallized ginger or sipping ginger tea can help to relieve the nausea,[19] while an earlier study indicated that it had only a placebo effect.[20] Tests conducted on the television shows Mythbusters and Food Detectives support the theory that ginger is an effective treatment for the nausea caused by motion sickness.[21]
Ginger is reported to calm the pyloric valve located at the base of the stomach.[19] This relaxation of the valve allows the stomach to operate normally whereby the contents will enter the small intestine instead of being retained within the stomach. It is this undesirable effect of retention in the stomach that eventually results in vomiting. Vomiting is not seasickness but is only a symptom or side effect; although the effect most commonly associated with seasickness. This link reports on a ginger study; notice the comment about less vomiting when taking ginger, but not less nausea.[22]

Nah! Forget the Civic. Get a Hilux ute and let her ride in the back. Works for all the TGs I know 555

p.s. Better buy her some thermal underwear and a ski parka.

Go and see the "Top Secret" medicine lady to blow smoke at you and take 400 Baht. The ginger always had worked for me.

Still persists go to the doctor for a promethazine injection. Will make sleepy for one day but results will last for weeks. Use the travel insurance you have already paid for.

The doctor should give it to her in the bum. In the arm with be painful.
