Well as far as I am aware I am the only one (so Far) with a TGF that wants to have children at some stage so I think the odds would not be so great on this bet....

My gf wants kids, but i tell her "not now darling". I'm thinking its gonna be at least a year and prob 2. When she asks how many I want I say 7 or 8, which always gets a big exclamation. In reality 2 will do.

Just read this old post and thought I'd add my 2 bob's worth, when we meet in Oct 2009 Oomi was 38-39kg, Sept 2010 arrive in Aust via spouse visa, 38-39kg, Nicholas born Jan 2012, 3-4 months later 39-41kg, Jan 2015 Nicholas is 3years old and weighs 21kg, Oomi is still 39-40kg.
We eat 75% Thai food, but Oomi will eat Macca's once in a while, other than that we eat steak & veg/salad or pasta & fish.....

What, pray tell, are "Maccas" Even google wouldn't tell me. Sounds fattening.

As far as weight gain is concerned, I gain weight in Canada and lose it in Thailand. I'm not fat, and I do eat a lot of veggies and fruit... BUT! i do love a certain type of multi-grain bread that I can only get locally in Canada. I probably eat too much of it.

Yah, we are familiar with Golden Arches.

Like Cuzzy, I make my own burgers when I'm in Canada. Only I use multi-grain bread, extra lean ground beef or venison, and extra sharp Canadian cheddar cheese. I make my patties square so they fit the bread. After experimenting a few times I can get it just right with enough spices in the meat for flavouring.

    Bread ??? WTF.
Actually this is how I prefer to make them tooalso. I find buns contain too much bread for me and I use a panini or chiabata preferably.

    peterj... me too.

Oops grammar error. I found this good resource

I wish she would put on more as she has no buffer if she was to become very ill.

Having said that she eats more than I do. The first few years a thought she had a problem (bulimic etc) but it is just her. I am not a fan of most Issan food (She loves the bugs, snails frogs and even gets old chickens from mates because she likes them chewy and the feet are still on and still kicking.) so we eat somewhere in the middle. I am the one that has lost 30 kg since I meet her.
So you basically lost her ;-) 5555

I generally lose weight when I come to Thailand, although this year I've stayed pretty much the same... about 82 kg (180 lbs) for a 6 foot frame (1.83 m)

    ^^ me too.

The weight of many baht 555

My weight has remained fairly static for the last 20yrs.. around 77 - 80kg. 20 years ago I was quite muscular, not like some guys who pump the weights at the gym, just lean and toned.

Now I have softened quite a lot with my mid section having what we call a muffin top. A wee bit paunchy.

I can't do bugs, frogs, ants eggs, snakes and the like either. I'm more mainstream with Thai food... not too adventurous when I go up to the village.

When I met Au she was 42kg. She looked a little gaunt, almost LBish as she has quite a square jaw which has become more rounded now. Before she got pregnant she went up tp 47-48kg. She looked better for it with her height at about 1.6mtr

How did you find this old thread Ian ? .... interesting but, as JK has put on another 5Kg since i posted this thread 5 years ago ..555 now 5 kg in 5 years might not sound much, but the change in body shape is significant
