    XMAS Blues

I have been seeing similar posts on other threads about this time of year.

For me it will be the usual don't make plans for my Aussie daughters due to the sure bet that the ex will throw a spanner in the works. The same pattern since i left her unless the girls decide to close ranks now that they are older.

Add to this my job gets shut down - with pay from the friday before Xmas to the Monday of the second week in Jan. Which the ex knows and plans for acccordingly.

Add to this I am missing S and Isaan Daughter no 1 M.

Yep I think the titles XMAS blues sums it up. Over to you lot

Nah minder it wont happen, you are in Perth and I am in Beechworth. Just thought I'd throw it up there so we can get it off our chests and then take the piss to help lighten it up a bit. Workiing in the EM industry saw me either fighting fires or working or on standby or 000 duty for too many years over Xmas. It had no real meaning for me until i had kids. I left the ex not my girls but I will never stop paying for it until my girls, like your daughter come around which they are starting to. Your son will also do the same.

So we should instead stop listening to all the "tis the season to be jolly" noise around us and perhaps google Kevin Bloody Wilson's hey santa Claus you **** where's my F*****g bike.

Dear Santa please send me free flights to LOS :-)

Come on guys....all this xmas blue talk is good for nothing...5555555555

I want everyone to read the lyrics below and remind ourselves how good we got it!!...ex issues, missing TG's, present hassels...NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

    Ready lets sing together!!.55555555555555555555555555555555555

Do They Know It's Christmas lyrics

    It's Christmas time,
there's no need to be afraid.
    At Christmas time
we let in light and banish shade
And in our world of plenty
we can spread a smile of Joy
Throw your arms around the world
    at Christmas time.

    But say a prayer,
    Pray for the other ones.
    At Christmas time it's hard
    but when you're having fun...
There's a world outside your window
and it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing is
    the bitter sting of tears
Where the Christmas bells that are ringing
are the clanging chimes of Doom
Well, tonight thank God it's them instead of you.
[ From : DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS Lyrics - AID BAND ]

And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life.
    Ohh....
    Where nothing ever grows
    No rain or rivers flow
Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

    Here's to you...
    Raise a glass for everyone
    Here's to them
    Underneath that burning sun
Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

    Feed the world...
    Feed the world...

    Feed the world,
Let them know it's Christmas time again.
    Feed the world,
Let them know it's Christmas time again.
The only thing that will stop you from fulfilling your dreams is you.

You could always go to WabbIts work and listen to the wandering Goat herding Lute playing Latvian gypsy quartet playing "Top 200 uplifting Christmas Carols".
And where the hell was Biggles.....?....when you needed him last Saturday....?

Hello to all ....Yes this time of year is different for all of us...missing our loved ones past and present..
For me its not a lot of joy..lost son and daughter in law...so I usually go to visit people I do not know in hospitals who never have visitors..I work in Mental health just go, chat or use Makaton (sign language) read a book or whatever..just my way of giving back to the community..
Sing to my wife on the phone always gets a laugh...Mrs S sings Thai songs to me and the eyes get a little moist..

We just have to make the most of what we are blessed with and our future will bring us much joy..

    Take care everyone..

G'day Singhma, appears to me that Mrs S "Chok Dee". Find good man, Good Heart. Admirable use of your time over Xmas...

I can only empathise the loss of your son and daughter in law as my eldest nearly died as an infant and I never want to live though those years again.

S sang to me in Thailand and had me balling my eyes out, never ever had that from any other woman in my life. Beautiful.

How far along are you with bringing Mrs S out? Or what are your plans?

Talk soon mate take care Spot
