All you need is love - and some genetic luck - SFGate

    DNA surprise
For Levenson, one of the most profound outcomes was the DNA segment of the study. When they started their research, genetic testing wasn't available, he said. But now researchers are able to look at what effect the gene that regulates serotonin, a hormone that contributes to feelings of well-being, has on the fulfillment of a marriage.
Do thai women have higher average levels of serotonin than other races? Maybe...

Sunlight stimulates the release of serotonin, so you might be on to something..

They are happy in the rice fields, and only become depressed after working bar..
Nothing to do with the work and customers, it's the lack of sunlight that changes them..555

I guess we'll have to wait to hear from the expats about their significant others. They should be logging on soon. They've been out drinking all evening...

I think couples who stick together has more to do with the men's testosterone level DECREASING. Men who want less sex will usually be happier with their wives. Men who want more sex get frustrated when wives do not respond.

I analyze everything to come up with better solutions to problems. I've studied human relationships for a long time and I've compared the couples who stick together with the ones who split.

There are some constants with each of the groups. Men are roamers and women are nesters. Once women have caught their mate and have a few children they feel satisfied... and very often lose their interest in sex. Men are no less interested in having a family, but don't give up their interest in sex. The average married male wonders what the hell happened and is forced to put all his pent up frustration into work. Or, take up other interests such as sports on TV, or golf. They have to live their lives through the lives of others, or their family.

Women get a renewed interest in sex just before their menopause and go stalking available men, whether they are married or not. That is why they are called "cougars", and it's also when a lot of divorces occur. You seldom see newly single men searching for the fat old biddies like the ones who just divorced them. That is one reason why you often see much younger wives with older men in places like Thailand.

I had an interesting debate with my neighbors last night. They're an unmarried couple. Been together for maybe 5 years. Not sure. She's 36 and he's 46.

We were viewing the new HBO series called True Detective. It's about 2 detective partners trying to solve some murders in a hick town in Louisiana. One partner is married with children and cheats on his wife. To get even with the cheating husband she forces herself on his partner. Then confesses to her husband causing the partnership to end in a violent conclusion.

My female neighbor sided with the wife while me and my neighbor's boyfriend said it was an evil act to bring the partner into the middle of their marital problems. I said why couldn't she have just cheated with a stranger? Surely her act of including her partner's husband was the ultimate betrayal and constituted an evil act by breaking up the partners. This is their jobs she messed with and the only means to which the husband supports the family. The female neighbor would not see my point.

    Women are evil...

^^in physics, response is opposite and equal to the initial force..

In humans, response always seems o have exceed the initial trigger... How wars start...
I do see the lady's point of who started it...
And do see the male's point of anonymous versus the partner...

How did that relationship progress (end..555)?

^^ my opinion is that the wife risked way more than the husband when she brought their means of survival, his job, at risk. She decided to go nuclear and destroy everyone including the innocent, the partner and the children.

Nah. It's the least important storyline in the series. I thought it was a sophomoric storyline. It would have been better if she committed suicide..
