Apart from what JC posted there is a lot of Thai ritual with a TGs first child.

After that it is often less important.

I don't know where you are going with the relevance comment but it may be a determinant of whether it's pop it out or push ++. Sayin' back 555! (whatever the fck that means)

As I said back a few posts......i don't think it matters where you come from, any girl wants to be around her mom when she has a baby, especially the 1st one...
But I understand Dazza's point. Sometimes a TG living with you on the West needs to act like an adult and live her life where she is. And not have everything go back to the motherland.

But in the case of having a baby.....she is pushing a kid out of a pretty small opening.......I will let her make the call on where she wants that to take place 555

It was easy to get the thai passports for the kids. We just rocked up to the thai embassy in Sydney when they were about 6-12 mths old and organised it. We also got my wife's mum to stay with us in Aust on a 6 month tourist visa just after the kids where born. It was good to have her around for a bit of support for my wife.

    Wish you all the best

Yeah, theoretically it is possible for someone to hold three passports isn't it? Does anyone know of anyone who is a citizen of three countries? I think the situation would most likely occur among diplomatic families.

Congrats Matto, my TGF keeps asking me for a Thai English baby, we try very often to make one, even though I tell her I had the clip more than 20 years ago 555.

My thai wife gave birth to our son (Nicholas) on 8th January 2012 at Toowoomba Base Hospital QLD in the public system, our doctor (female) recommended this way. From 1st check up right through to leaving the hospital with Nic was a hassle free experience, with great service.
We bought Oom's sister to Aust on a tourist visa, 3 mths for the birth and to give support & help afterwards, worked very well. Had the advantage that sis speaks good English.
Nicholas travels on a Aust passport, and that's what Oom wanted.

Update: our son was born yesterday at 11am, both mum and son are doing very well. They had to stay in hospital over night so I'm just on my way to pick them up now.

    Thanks guys
He hasn't really cried yet, he's been a good boy. Although he's only a day old.

We will be taking him to Thailand in October to visit family so that should be interesting.
