    Only a TG!!

So i bought a rotissiere chicken to cut it up and use for my salads for lunch

I saved the drumsticks and wings for my wife and cut up all the "crappy" stuff for the dog
I put both in separate bowls and when my wife came home she complained that I gave the dog better chicken than I gave her 555

Well chicken feet soup with noodles is quite the delicacy as is chicken bum or chicken cartilage on a stick at your local street side food seller, 5555
Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

my favourite part of any chicken is the oysters which sit in the back...so if you gave them to the dog I wouldn't be too happy either...my ex mother in law (asian) would always have the back reverentially offered up for her by my ex...some sweet meat in there

a TG ordered a plate of fried chicken pieces that looked awfully small.

upon munching into it i found that it was the gristly joint stuff that always gets stuck between your teeth if you accidentally happen to munch on one.

    upside down world!!

I love cartilage. Fried chicken asses and skin are also my favourite street food snacks. And don't even get me started on bone marrow. Yum!

Come on paulie, you have said in the past that you grew up poor. You could not have been that bad off if you did not use every part of the chicken 555

My late mom used to cook and eat the neck, feet, entrails, everything bar the bones and feathers.....

Or a burger cheaper than Mc****.

If you ate enough scraps while poor you tend to avoid them when you can afford better.
However, the tastiest meats, poultry etc can be the very slow cooked cheaper (or were!) cuts - chuck steak in stews, hogget shanks, coq au vin etc.

Mrs last week, on seeing pork bones for sale (cheep) at the butchers he says to her "How much do you want love?"
If you can visualize the Terminator in the gun shop movie scene she answers "ALL".
I don't know if he said he might close early....555
