Seriously I think Skin and prostate probably trump colon cancer here.

What do the "normal" ladies sit around and discuss with their friends on "ladies" forums? 555

    My wife was a BG

With the exception of discussions on this forum it honestly wouldn't even cross my mind

She is so far removed from that it just doesn't compute into my thinking anymore

I know you openly discuss it on this forum and I respect your honesty. But on the forum we all understand the situation and the girls. I’m pretty sure all of us are in a relationship with a BG or at least have been at some stage, even if it was a week or two. But how does it go with friends and family’s? is it something they know or is it sort of coved up.

Tell me to mind my business if you like I’m just curious about that and how it would go down.

Do you mean are people open about what their GF used to do? Bar girl probably sounds like waitress to most people I know. Now if you say Connect-4 Grand Master...

I don't think anyone would openly tell their friends and family that
Why would they? It's no ones business and it would only hurt her

The thing also is people in the US know very little about that scene so it would never cross their mind
Wheras I think regular people in Australia know about it more

Obviously everywhere in the world has assumptions about the reason for the relationship but not anything to do with being a BG

My family is pretty naive outside the US

I'm thinking of buying my sister a ticket to Thailand for Xmas to take her next year
Ao would be over the moon and either of my sister's visited Thailand

But it will be a challenge
My sister, although an awesome person is very ignorant and closed minded so she will not be a good tourist

And this has nothing to do with Ao's past but we will have to pick places to go where there isn't even the slightest hint of p4p
She'd be freaked out seeing any of that

I still think the biggest assumption about any Asian wife from what ever country they might be from is that they are mail order. (here in OZ)
That assumption I think comes from an older generation as younger people don't bat an eye.

I wish the mail order bit was true could have saved me some time and there would have been a catalogue.555555

My parents are very victorian I could never tell them something like that.

Years back when I had Nicky over on a TV a friend of mine asked her what she did for a job. She just told them, I work in bar. It sort of shocked me I didnt think she would be open about it. She didnt see any wrong.

We get that all the time, most people are shocked when they find out we met in Perth.

You know they use to have catalogues and I guess thats how it started. My MIL showed me one that she was in back in the day. Guys would write her love letters over a year or two then come and see her. A lot of her friends did the same.

There are thousands of "mail order" brides today. What do you think all those "meet and greet" internet sites are for? I'm quite convinced that even at my age I could be married within a week if I wasn't fussy who I got, and if I went on one of the internet sites. There a millions, and I do mean millions, of desperate women hoping to get married to any reasonable man.

Years ago a mate's wife was telling me how she was shy to mention she had been a bar girl but when she did "nobody care ... and just say ... and what you do now?"

I remember laughing and saying it's an Australian thing, nobody is going to judge your past if theirs was full of convicts ... 555

To do this on a forum where many associate or have relationships with bar-girls or former bar-girls is not very tasteful, to say the least..

I never responded in this thread, not because I don't have an opinion as to why people might actually prefer being with a bar-girl, but because of the condescending, colonial tone of the OP..
Someone calling the poster out and calling him a prick is par for the course, I only wondered why it took so long..? 555

You say you hate bullies, but miss the bullying when a poster degrades your way of life, and the way of many of the BM's on here..
I wouldn't use the word prick, although appropriate, I would say he has a superiority complex and degrades anyone with another view or lifestyle, but Prick would be a good analogy... 555
He should of titled it- "Anal specialist, Essanese whore with yabba ice habit vs good, Bangkok born, uni-educated girl" - make it more of a contrast, a no-brainer!

In my opinion I think people are being a bit too prescious with the title. I think we all knew what he meant and it didn’t cause offense to me.

I did think Paulie was right to call him out on the intention behind the thread as it did come clear very quickly that the OP wanted to brag about his ‘perfect girl’ in a disparaging way to other people. But that, to me is a separate issue to the title.

    Thank you.

    I read the OP.

Left it alone, thinking anyone can come over "wrong" through ineptitude, over exuberance or inexperience.

So I read on and came to the conclusion the guy is either a prick or a narcicist narcicccisst narsisisst (screw it, I can't spell) prick.

Then Ian decided to make an arse of himself and I'm surprised because that's not normally his style. Have to say he lost me a bit, there. Am all for playing devil's advocate but even I have to sell it to myself first and I'm not really sure Ian did before he jumped in.

Maybe he'll convince me otherwise. We'll see.

Maybe he won't bother to try (more likely).

Anyway. If my language offended anyone (apart from the prick of an OP), I am sorry for that.

We are older we have experienced more and that changes you, life together changes you might even teach you what you want in life, might make you content...Might not.

If I stayed in this country and not travelled a little my world view would be different more narrow.
If I never married a TG I would not understand the complexity of a different culture from a woman's point of view...Second thoughts still dont understand that.

What I have learned or not is I am mostly at sea but get the occasional glimpses of land now.5555

What I mean is how can you understand when you dont know the rules and you have not even been told the game you are playing?
Takes time together may take years...Not something you will learn from dabbling in the bar scene that will give you less than no idea though some seem to think it knowlege
My experience has had its soaring highs and its deep troughs, not in equal measure much more random than that...

My experience not others as no two are the same and then add countries within Asia...
we all wither, and in time we all come to an end, it's probably the only true justice. I believe what we were makes bugger all difference, it's what we wanted that makes the change.
