    La Vino

I'm surprised we don't have a lively thread on the subject. I'm pretty sure there's an old, smelly one floating around, but I couldn't find it. So if mods know about it, please merge. That with this please, not this with that. Mine's sexier.

I'll start off with my recent favourite. The second time I've tried this very reasonably priced Tuscan red at around $24AUD. It has an almost old, fermented aftertaste, like good cheese. I've tried my best to rely on my own senses and findings with this, so I could be off the mark. But this to me would go hand in hand with a bolognese, as it almost has a nice parmigiana thread running through it. I can almost sense oregano in the back of my throat as well, but that could just be my brain adding in from memory. In which case the wine is still doing a great job filling in detail that isn't there, which I've experienced in the past.

    Here's to a good drop.

Goes to show how useless search engines are in most forum platforms. I typed in wine and neither thread came up in the first page.

Nice one. I used to have a similar setup but I kept drinking them too quick.

These days I just sign up with wineries, and have crates of various drops delivered. So I get to taste all sorts, and pick favourites from.

The best wine is the one you like.

I can't remember who said that, but it's true.

The best advise is to keep drinking. You'll develop your own unique pallet with practice, and everyone is different.

    im a big rose fan
i find the cheaper bottles - blossom hill, cimrosa from lidl, surprisingly sainsbry's house rose all very good- better than the more expensive brands

Me and Mrs W had Wine flu again the other night well really the morning.....
Funny about weather we normally switch to those Kiwi Whites from the mainland as summer approaches well that and a gin (not an abo)
But when I BKK sitting out in the balmy evening with a rough red is a fav thing of ours to do..In a sky bar even better .5555555

I wonder what kind of Sangria you'd get with a nice Rosť.
