    Thong Kee Asoke

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgThong Kee or Tong Kee both work as name as googled.
We went to this place twice in quick succession as I was that good.
Across from Terminal 21 Asoke a real unassuming even uninviting looking place I'm thinking here we go.
Mrs. W is like oh wow how many times have we walked past this place I came to 20 years ago it's really good.... Ok does not look it!

Well turns out forth generation restaurant been there for ever and as the kids get old enough they take over.

The lady that runs the place is friendly as and her and MW talk for hours as the food rolls out endlessly and welcome it is.. This is a foodies delight, Thai food at a great std and with Yum Cha on offer day time as well.

My Roast Duck with honey sauce best I've had in a long time I could not fault it.
Go and eat and it will not break the bank prices are Thai not Farang aimed as most Farangs would look and keep walking on first impression...I would have!

    We will be going back!

I am not a huge fan of duck but The Kitchen in Lamai makes a fantastic duck Currie.
I was telling Ao how awesome it wss for a year and felt pretty vindicated that I know my Thai food because she wanted to eat 3 days in a row and kept telling people how good it was afterwards

I love Currie but I find duck to be a bit greasy for my liking
Ao thinks this duck I like was fried or baked

Walked past the entrance a few months ago with intentions of eating there but it was almost empty compared with Terminal 21's food court and all restaurants on2 levels ... next time I'll stop in for sure.
    Cheers, Rob.

I wonder how this place is in Bangkok

    HOME | SOMTUM DER

We go to their place in NYC, and it is.........without a doubt, the most authentic Thai place we've been to in Canada/US
It really is the same food as you get in Thailand

My wife has actually liked a lot of places in US/Canada but is shocked at how authentic this place is

    https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restauran..._New_York.html

I just found out it had a Michelin star, I never knew that
