Last night it was normal closing, so not sure why just that one day they shut it all down at 3am.

Spent 5 nights in Patong recently.

Couple of thoughts which are pretty standard across the board.

Bangla was busy enough – drank often at P One Bar.
Soi’s quiet besides first couple of bars

Soi Tiger – front bars packed, thinned out towards the back
Soi Freedom – drank at Little Devils – average at best
Soi Crocodile – front busy, only toilets down far alley available, interesting gauntlet run
Soi Seadragon – super fun, mainly SW1 / SW2, did venture in Exotica and Candy Club when moved all into the one at closing time.
A little disappointing to be given the Buy 10 get 1 Free card at Candy Club 3:30am on my last night having already spent 4 nights in the agogos – dropping 14k baht one of the nights. That been said I had a good time.
    180 baht a drink + 20 baht tip = an expensive night.
Gone are the days of 99 baht Chang.
SW1 – the best lookers and great fun
SW2 – 90% from Korat, good fun and some fun service girls
They enjoyed my splatter of Thai words, made conversation easier and far more enjoyable.
However I should really learn how to compile more complete sentences.

Aussie Bar – good for the football, Foxtel/cable streaming service is fantastic (also throughout OTOP), had the horse racing also running in the upstairs air-conditioned room. Had one lonely punter on his tablet.

OTOP – never seen it so quiet, the odd bar had customers (day and night) other than that very very quiet.

@White Patong – first time I really did not enjoy the place. Arrived to miserable reception staff. Level 5 room, got awfully hot, and wasn’t able to leave the key in the room.

People should be banned from reading other peoples TR's if they can't be arsed to write one themselves. 5555 just kidding.

    Thanks for the update.

I already miss Phuket, but counting days to Patts now. I pretty much consider SW1(2 has it's moments somedays) the only good gogo in Phuket, the rest are just sad. You cannot beat Pattaya when it comes to gogos, but then that's not the reason we go to Phuket.

I'll be back there in September most likely. I'm Spending 3 days in Singapore for the Grand Prix, so might as well combine the two. I find Patts more exciting, but I miss Phuket a lot more. I find the place grows on me a little more each visit. The people are definitely a big reason why. Plus Patong is the size of a shoe box, so you feel so much more oriented and at home than anywhere else. SB now feels like a true home away from home, and I love being recognised at my favourite watering holes every time I go back. I really envy the resident expats. Lucky buggers. Well... hard work and planing might be the real culprit here, but still... lucky buggers.

Yeah I had ample fun in Pattaya.
Spent most evenings down Soi 6.
I just don't get the same freedom there as I do in Phuket haha - 'Pattaya ladies are bad'.

There were hundreds of lonely ladies down Soi 7 and 8 - the odd one good looking.
