Sathorn Unique Tower is an unfinished skyscraper in the Thai capital city of Bangkok. Planned as a high-rise condominium complex, construction of the building was halted during the 1997 Asian financial crisis, when it was already about 80 percent complete. It is now among the most prominent of Bangkok's many derelict buildings, and has become a destination for urban explorers.

Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting: holy s.h.i.t what a ride!

Sukhumvit is one change of train, at Siam, away from there. Fairly easy though.

That’s one strange building, maybe the designer wasn’t 100% like the building....

Taking a taxi to Suk isn't even that bad either

There really is no traffic until you get to Lumpini

But as you said the BTS is very easy also

If anyone wants to stay over in Thonburi area I would suggest w noting that area
Then go spend some naughty days in lower Suk before or after

There really is so much more to Bangkok than lower Suk

In 2005 my first trip to Thailand we had to stay one night in BK one our way to Phuket . We stayed at the Grand China Princes Hotel in of all places China Town 55. It didnt have a dedicated Roof top Bar as Such , probably before they became a trend But the had a Restaurant and bar one the Top level.
The Restaurant had a revolving floor that did a 360 deg turn which took about 15 mins per revolution . Me and my Mate didnt want to go back out in the Madness of China Town so decided to get right on the drink in the Restaurant .
They had a Piano Man playing and singing and after a few beers I ended up Singing with him (his idea ) . The Piano man and Bar were in the Middle of the Top floor and didnt move and the Tables were on the moving outer area on the Revolving part so Diners could get the Whole view of BK . I remember doing the Moon Walk while I was singing as the tables slowly moved past us , people were killing themselves laughing and clapping .
Has anyone every been to the Grand China and been in that Revolving Restaurant? It was a good night out .

That sounds like a pretty good memory. I enjoy watching people have fun, no matter how silly they might be. It's why I like watching children play. They use their imagination and don't worry about what others think. It's the same with old folks who like to dance. They are having a good time.
