    Living in Thailand

If you could live in Thailand where would it be and why?

I personally would love to live up North. Possibly Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai. I really enjoyed it there. There was a much more relaxed Atmosphere and not as many Tourists. I am not a big fan of Beaches but did like the place as a whole.

I do also like Phuket but think as i was to get older i think i would get over the full-on action and over-priced shopping (in comparision to CM and CR). I guess if I was to live there now i would stay in Phuket, maybe Karon but would visit Patong a lot and then move up north as i was to get over it all.

I have many places to see yet so not 100% things change as you explore.
But for me i think will have 2 places one in BKK a 1 bedder around On Nut and a house in Village Ban Sakon.
That way if 2 quiet...BK,K sick of that....Village.
Never Patts again. Phuket would drive me nuts it i wanted similar Trat would be better option same same but different 555

Living in northern Thailand is paradise for motorcyclists,
It's not all about suburban life but the adventure here.
I am no-one in Australia and a VIP in Thailand. I pick the latter.

    Bangkok.....
On a road out of town but close enough to Sukhumvit for a night out there if desired.
Perhaps off the Bangna-Trad Rd (the road to Pattaya)
30 minutes to Cowboy one way - 90 minutes to Pattaya the other - sounds about right.

There are lots of places in Thailand that I would like to go to and spend some time, a few months even, but sooner or later, I know I will want to be somewhere else.

Our Bangkok house is intended to be "base camp" and the peaks to be scaled are all over Thailand and South East Asia.

Sitting here writing this - I'd rather be there now....
