    Laundry Service.

Can anyone recommend a good laundry service in Patong? I plan to buy a few pieces of cheap clothing while there that won't matter much if lost or damaged, but I also like to wear my TB clothes which I would hate to have lost or ruined.

Just ask the hotel staff. Most hotels provide the service. They will collect your laundry and drop it back again when done.

Last time I was in Patong I paid 200 baht for one load.
Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.

At a premium, there are so many that it is very easy to find one and pay a fraction of the price.

I used the place right next to Summer Breeze. I tried a few, but this one the clothes came back nicely pressed and smelled good. I have been to many that my clothes come back wrinkled if you don't pay extra for ironing and smell a little funky. They send the clothes out to a place to have it done. If you can find that place, it would probably be even cheaper.

Yes I'm sure there are varying levels of quality with laundry service, just like the massage parlours slampay is looking for 555. When you are handing them several pieces of clothing worth hundreds of $'s, a good one would be worth the extra baht. It's always good to get info from someone who has tried a few, so thanks for that.

Hundreds! Sounds like you need a dry cleaner. Now the question makes more, sense. I would try and find a place that keeps it in one location. Do you know Bill at the SB? might pop in and ask him, he has lived there for years. Maybe PM Mr. Smiley, he is always happy to give some advice and has been there for years also.

Yeah I'll check the hotel out, just thought there might be some seasoned travellers who know a laundry that is good and reliable, just like any customer service, there are usually a few that that stand out.

Thanks Cippy. I think I'll have to call by the SB either way.

Is it true that no matter who you give your laundry to... it all gets done at the same place anyway? Or is that just a rumour?
My only experience was in a pie making factory managing the gravy team

The lady I take mine to, does it on site.... She is very very good.... She is out near Max guesthouse, up from the fire station.... pretty well opposite the vacant land, she is on the bottom floor of the Orange building built back from the road.... her name is Joy.. I can't speak highly enough of her

The washing always comes back pressed and folder in plastic, and always smells good....
