    Dental Recommendations?

    Hi Guys,

a friend of mine wants to head to BKK or Pattaya to get some dentistry done (crowns), anyone have any recommendations? He also said he would prefer to go to a place attached to a hospital as opposed to a clinic.

    Cheers,
    Bawdy.

    Hi Bawdy,
I just found the card from the mob in Patts that did mine. Not a hospital just a normal clinic.
You may remember i had a lot of work done there 3 years ago.
5 crown bridge, 3 other crowns, a double root canal, 3 removals plus a pin insertion and 2 fillings.
All for 60k bt but i would guess more now.

For what it's worth it was "B.K. Dental Clinic"

    www.bkdentalpattaya.com
    Ph 38720807

You will know where they are, it's on Soi Buakhao, almost opposite the intersection with LK Metro.
2 doors down from Soi Cahapion?? spelling? so it's between Soi Dianna and LK Metro and on the other side of the road. Hope that makes sense.

They were very good, didn't hurt, the dentist spoke English the nurses didn't.

^ Thanks mate, I do remember your experiences, but he did specify he wanted a hospital incase things went bad, I guess a little too worried, but will pass on both details, thanks mate.

    No worries.
I understand what he was after.

It was more the fact I found the card, thought i had binned it in the move, so posting it here it can be accessed by anyone else that needs it.

    Cheers

Try checking out Thantakit Dental in BKK. The dentists were very professional and were never pushy in upselling. Had an excellent experience with cleanings, fillings and crown treatment. I've seen how my friend was butchered by a couple of dental places in BKK and Chiang Mai and I have been extra careful ever since.

^ personal recommendations are useful; I went to a well-known franchise outfit in Phuket, my 'lifetime smile' turned out to be the lifetime of the dental work rather than my own lifetime, 18mths later having some re-done by our local town dentist. 2013 I had a lot of repair work after my cycling accident where I cleverly landed face-first, when I was in Auckland in June this year needed a minor repair and asked dentist to check my Thai reconstruction - 'faultless' she said.
