    How long BBK to DMK

On April 12 I land at BKK at 6.20pm. How long will I take me to check out and get to DMK

We've covered this before but I'd allow 3 hours. 1 for entry/baggage, 1 for taxi or bus, 1 spare + whatever check-in time you need at DMK, perhaps another hour?
    Cheers, Rob.
Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting: holy s.h.i.t what a ride!

You could probably get there by 8pm..ish by taxi with a decent run considering it`s close to peak hour or just after.

    and it`s BKK!

Yep, could take a longtime, if you have little time I wouldn't bet on it.

Saturday 12th is the day before Songkran - Bangkok that evening will I expect be more quiet than usual - minimal worker traffic - as so many people will have headed to the provinces already on Friday/Saturday. But there may be a lot of tourists arriving?

Bus to DMK - I've had it take 45 to 60min

Taxi will save a little on this - though last week I did taxi one way, express bus the other Don Mueang to Morchit Bus Station and only a couple of minutes difference, both vehicles just staying with flow of traffic.

It's the airport time that varies so much - I faced a queue of one person on Friday; my worst at Suvarnabhumi last year was 70-80min, and that was at the time of all the complaint when people faced 2hr+ delays but there are more counters/staff now.

    Happy travels

I just changed my Air Asia flight to the later one I now get 2 hours 40 minutes. Will be tight.

I heard of a VIP service in Bangkok air port. Is that faster? and how do I get hold of them?

^ you can get one of the silver Camry type VIP taxi`s or a metered cab from the terminal...not much difference time wise but the Camry will be a little more expensive.

I think this fast-track service is what you are looking for -

Bangkok Airport Fast track Immigration service with VIP Meet & Greet service.
