    Travelling to and thruout Thailand..........

i've just been diagnosed with kidney disease ,and must dialysis 3 timrs a week in hospital .Still want to go back to Thailand ,but with my disease now find it could be difficult, are there any BM's out there with same problem? How have you got around?

The medical centre i attend for this problem, encourages travel, but im finding it difficult to understand how,I;m aware of the 2 two types of dialysising available,at the moment i'm only on the 3 times a week hospital treatment,i'm aware the second method ,PD, to those that know what i'm talking about, what difficulties, arrangement,do i have to attend too,to enjoy my holiday?
And what do I have to look out for?

Peritoneal dialysis is a home treatment, but you really need a very clean environment, if not you will get infected. It's not as easy as it looks.

There are dialysis centers in Thailand, you have to check the price though. This is one in Phuket, Dialysis, Kidney Disease, Phuket Holiday Dialysis Center in Thailand

    Phuket Provincial Hospital

2000 baht per session - a fairly new facility.

Hi Mare, sorry to hear about your illness and think its great that your not letting it stop you from doing things you want to do, like travel.
One thing I thought of is that you might have trouble getting travel insurance.
Hope it all works out for you.

2000 baht is a good price. Similar to most private HD centers in Kuala Lumpur.

My partner is having an A-V shunt installed in her wrist next week.
Phuket International hospital is currently 2200 Baht per session for dialysis - minimal queuing time.
