Geez Bangkok Airways always get a wrap here.. and sure they are good.... but bugger me, try flying someone other than yourself with em... What a PITA.

AFTER, I received the ticket, at the bottom in red is a warning along the lines, that the CC holder should travel.. what a load of garbage... So I ring them, and tell em, yep I paid for the ticket, I own the card, just put a note on the booking to that effect.... With any sensible company, I have dealt with in the past, the answer would be "no ploblem" .. BIG PROBLEM with BKK Airways...

What they do, is, randomly, ask people who have Purchased with a CC to show the card.. at check in... if they can't , they pay cash at the gate, and they will refund the CC... I have never come across this nonsense before.. This will be the one and only time I fly someone (other than me) with this mob...

Something to be aware of if you plan on flying others around the place.

Yeah that is crazy when the CC has already cleared - I can understand it with last minute bookings.
Nok has done the same to the missus but we could pay with a local debit card or in cash at a 7/11.

I have paid airfares and hotel bookigs with my Aus Credit in the past for Cats friends who don,t have a CC. I give the traveller a photocopy of the card signed by me and its worked.

I thought of a copy, I will give them a ring and see what they say... otherwise just send a bit to her to cover it...

You pay more for online purchases with an Aussie CC,Thai banks X rate is much better.

I've used my Thai card for many things including BKK Air a couple of times and Nok many many times (verified by Visa) and never had a problem or asked to produce the card.
