    Weather in Thailand

As we all know the weather in Thailand is hot and sticky and can get wet during low season... But what I was interested to know is what places should be avoided at certain times of the year due to the weather.
For example I read on another thread that Krabi is August gets hit with lots of rain but Samui is a better place to be weather-wise during that time.

Can people suggest any other tips like this?

I meant to put this post on here by mistake. Will repost on the the Kamalala thread. I don't know how to delete it from here.

Pinot, if you want to delete, the easist way is to hit the "edit" button that stays next to "Reply" for, I think 24hrs.

This puts you back to when you were typing it. Just delete everything but then you have to have some charecters or it won't accept it. That is why you see sometimes a post will just have a heap of *************** and nothing else, other times the poster will type...sorry posted in wrong thread.

Looks like heavy rains coming to most of Th over the weekend. That typhoon is a biggie and should weaken to a major rain depression as it crosses Vn/Laos. Combined with systems in the north and southwest, it will be an interesting and wet few days ahead.

Get essential beer, food and TG supplies in and batten down the hatches!

    Cheers, Rob.

    Avoid every place in May.

Go nuts the rest of the year. Anywhere.

By the way, that super typhoon went north and most of Th is now getting light rain. China has flooding.
    Cheers, Rob.

Chiang Mai, in fact all of the north, is quite soggy right now. A cool [upper atmo] north-easterly air stream coming down from China is delivering rain, heavy in parts and likely to continue through the weekend.

Temp down to 25c, had to put a shirt on today.
    Cheers, Rob.

Can you send some down here. Mid August and the lake out the back of mine is still about 2 metres down on capacity. Makes it's harder to land the fish. It was full by the end of May last year. We just ain't getting any significant rainfall.

Don't ask for too much as you know what happens...

Out at the retreat in Isaan it's rained continuously for days and night after night at times but not quite reached flood levels just yet.
