    Very few Mosquitoes

Not long since returned from Thailand and only managed to get bitten once. A new record for me. Anybody else noticed a lack of the little buggers. Perhaps the fact that it leathered it down most days helped, but I've never gotten away with so few bites after a trip.

NCPO have been rounding up and exterminating all mozzies, soi dogs, mafia and redshirts.

Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting: holy s.h.i.t what a ride!

Don't have much of a problem with mozzies here but there's some small, seemigly invisible ants that leave a painful, itchy, watery sore that regularly get me and the young bloke.

Interesting how it's tapering off in thai, news in this week says Dengue fever is back in Japan after many years as people are bitten by mozzies in a Tokyo park.

Did you both have your socks all the way up to your knees? Cuz that'd probably be why.

I would say on Phuket it could be down to a lack of rain. If I leave water in a bucket outside it attracts a lot of mosquitoes to breed there as can be seen by the number of larva, many more than you would expect. This suggests that breeding sites are limited and those available are being used by many more of the little biters.
