I like the artsy feel to that one. The previous one looked like it needs machine gun placements.

There're many new projects like this around us and ALL have tin roofs (of course) but most have no insulation between roof and ceiling other than the silver-backed foam.

If that wasn't bad enough, single skin red brick walls and large glazed sections make for very very hot interiors.

AND, near flat tin roofs with internal box gutters such as the above, will develop major leaks when the drains clog with leaf matter ahead of heavy rains.

It's a great modern design if done correctly, unfortunately most around us are being built like this on the cheap for sale to Chinese or investors as rentals.
    Cheers, Rob.

If Ao ever builds a house in the village I will insist it has some aspect of a nice Thai house

My big thing, if I were contributing, would be build quality if I intended to spend time there
So many houses built like shit in Thailand

But I'd have to search around for people who know quality builders

Or is it just pre-Trump and post-Trump?

So... English Georgian period followed by the Federal period followed by the Jeffersonian period... followed by the neo-classical period... mixed with Sod and log cabins... with a bit of Greek Revival thrown in...

Well I never knew that... thank you.

That is one thing that surprises me JC, that there are not any squatters, or walls and walls of graffiti, it looks like they have just walked out, or in the unfinished houses the money has ran out 555

There are a few projects around my place that were never completed. Two that I have seen were started by farangs that never came back 55

There is a 12 story hotel-appartment building in Burriram that looks like it was allmost complete, from the outside but whoever started it must have run out of money because the place is just a shell.
