    Songkran 2011

So Songkran is coming close just curious to know what everyones plans are. For those with GF's with them in their home Countries what do you do for Songkran? for those with GF's in Thailand what are yours or your GF's plans?

For those unaware, Songkran is the Thai New Years, and goes over three days with a festival of water to mark the start of the wet season, April 13, 14 and 15th. This is a very family oriented time for Thai people and generally most people who are away from home for work or other reason will go home to spend time with the family. This is also used as a border for High and Low season for Tourism.

I was thinking exactly the same thing 555555
Im going to throw a whole bucket of water on Ning after I call her outside to look at something. Im sure the face will show complete anger and thoughts of what the hell are you doing. I'll then yell out Songkran and run like fcuk 5555

I'll try and set up the iPhone on video and record it.

I sure hope you get it on Video that would be priceless. i am sure she will see the funny side of it afterwards lol. Just checking do you say Happy (sabaii) Songkran or just Songkran?

My Gf is leaving Phuket on the 10th of this month and heading to Udon Thani to be with her family, She said she is going to tkae many photos for me so i can see how they celebrate it. She said last year she spent in in Patong and did not really enjoy it but is hanging for this year with the fmaily. From what she has told me i would like to get up there for it one year. Sounds like good fun.

    Just found this on Wikipedia.

"สุขสันต์วันสงกรานต์" (suk-san wan songkran) — meaning "Happy Songkran Day"

    1 day to go

I was just thinking. Imagine if we celebrated New Year (Jan 1st) in the UK with water fights... sub zero temps... we'd be tossing ice at each other... 555

I think it is because of our Water Restrictions here that people are shocked by the idea of it all. I honestly think iti s grea that everyone can get together and have a good time. I would like to head up to Noy's house next year to celebrate it. I have been talking to her on and off the past couple days and she is having a great time and always laughing... She is taking as many pics with her phone as she can so i can see it all when I get to see her.

Spoke to TG last night, said she got spayed on her way to work, and says today will be worse, scared that her phonne will get drenched. Bloody hope not only means on convo for the next two weeks as no access to skype for her.

It is a big occassion, as she is really down in the dumps she could not go home to Buriram to family for
    Songkran
