    It is always the case

But why wouldn't you want your bank to give you bigger notes, regardless?..........easier to carry

Actually one thing that was weird, and this was 2 years ago in Samui
They would change my CAD 100 and 20's but not my CAD 50's

They may have got a notice that there was some fake CAD 50'S going around
If you changing money, why not ask for 100's?

50 is the largest denomination in current usage

At Vasu in Bangkok the difference is .10 , 55.20 against 55.10 , not a huge amount in the scheme of things

VASU is THE place in BKK in my opinion... for the AUD they are never too far below the headline Xrate.. so I *guess*, much the same with other currencies... they are very good... Take your passport with you.. There is another good one, maybe 70m down Suk Soi 3, on the LEFT hand side, walking away from Suk... they are very good as well, and very competitive with Vasu.

You do get a slightly better rate on the higher denominations. They also prefer newer crisp clean bills as well.
I just girl in bar. Buy me one dink?....
