Cover more should be called Coverless from my experience.

My parents had a Cover more policy. They were all booked for a holiday in Bangkok then off to Cebu for my wedding.

Mum got sick and the doctors said she cannot travel. We made a claim and they refunded her travel expenses, but it took about 3 months. However, they didn’t payout on dads as he wasn’t sick. But dad needed to care for her and wouldn’t travel alone anyway.

The Banking Royal Commission is looking at the Insurance Industry ... when you read their laundry list of failures you start to wonder why you'd bother ...

One of the gems from Orr's description of the regulatory framework of the insurance sector was the fact that insurance contracts contain something called a "duty of utmost good faith" which describes how parties need to act.

The brutal penalty for an insurer that fails in this duty is…well, there isn't one.
