Stickman 1927 Travel Guide to Bangkok

This is a PDF, so I don't know how to copy and link it

But it's pretty cool on Stickman's Column this week of an old travel guide
Explaining on to get to Bangkok by steamship, it would take 5-6 days from various places

So check it out, I really enjoyed it

And if anyone knows how to link it, please do so

    I can see a 1967 one.. but not a 1927 one?
My only experience was in a pie making factory managing the gravy team

Very thorough isn't it. I guess things didn't change too fast back then, so prices etc stayed relevant for a long time...

That is a truly fabulous piece of history which shows clearly what early travellers did before they had the internet....555

They should get Michael Portillo to follow it today, just like he does with Bradshaws early 20th century guide in Europe....
And where the hell was Biggles.....?....when you needed him last Saturday....?

Sometimes it seems like it. I have been longer as a single old fart on the hunt than I was as a single young man on the hunt. And, I don't know where he frigging time went. I've been having too much fun.

Re: Stickman's column this week about Billboard. I can confirm it's the best go-go in Nana Plaza. Definitely worth a look if you are in Soi 4 in Bangkok. The rest in Nana plaza don't even come close.

Let me know when you are in town... Korat's only about 4 hours away by bus so could do a weekend meet up. I just finished up my holidays, but I've been surveying the Bangkok and Pattaya scene so I have a few good spots that we can check out.

Is that your first time in Pattaya Smiley? I'm sure this time last year you had never been there?

    Technically second time, 5555

I was there for a stag during the first weekend of April and there again for 3 days during the last week of April visiting some visiting BMs. Certainly was a contrast from the 1st trip to the 2nd trip. Not sure if I'll do a TR as I'm back to work now, so not as much free time as before.

But it certainly was educational, 5555
