Ohh...so your son gets driven and guided around by thick headed Thais? 55
I wouldn't have the same concerns back home.

Never mind driving, violent behaviour in public places including road rage, drug-related incidents etc are more likely causes of injury in Oz.

Back on topic Lew ... have you visited the Tham Luang caves? Looks to me like the main entrance is where all water exits from the 10 km of underground river(s). Thus, with no bodies found, one might expect all boys to be trapped and potentially safe.

The Navy Seals deserve high praise for going into those flooded tunnels with nil visibility and risk of entrapment.
    Cheers, Rob.
Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting: holy s.h.i.t what a ride!

Didn't Rivo say one body had been recovered?
My only experience was in a pie making factory managing the gravy team

No bodies found as of this minute. The search continues above and below ground. News media talk about drilling air holes but not how they could get heavy drilling machinery into the hills.

    Photos from The Nation today

Give some scope on the size of the caves; hell of a challenge for the rescue teams

    ^ appears that they have

Commander Thanchaiyan Srisuwan said on Wednesday the United States Pacific Command was sending a team of navy divers and disaster experts to help with the search.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said resources from all agencies were being used in the search for the 13 missing people. Three foreign divers had also joined the operation
Thai Post Today has the three divers as Robert Charlie Harper, Mr.Richard William Stanton and Mr.John Volanthen.

Googled Richard Stanton, UK, along with Volanthen world- renowned for rescue and recovery work in caves

Chances are they started walking in there, got disorientated and started walking back the wrong way and possibly right down towards the bottom of that map somewhere.

The rescuers will need a 100kg of somtam to revive them when they find them.!

The US military and British cave experts have joined the search for 12 boys and their football coach who have been missing for five days inside a flooded cave in Thailand.
A Thai army general coordinating the rescue said today that overnight rain had raised water levels again and authorities switched off power and water pumps for fear of electrical hazards.
Bancha Duriyapat said Thai navy SEALs, UK cave-diving experts and a US military team were inside the cave and rescuers were continuing to work despite the rain and setbacks.

At a morning briefing the Thais explained that water levels had been rising overnight at a rate of about 15cm per hour, complicating efforts to squeeze through tight passages, some of which require divers to contort their bodies around L-shaped bends.

^ I've been checking the news regularly and there doesn't seem to be much progress, the water is rising quicker than they can pump out.

Surprised to read that they think the boys could survive up to a month with out food, so there is still a good chance of finding them alive..

Pattaya Beach! of all the names they could use and where they think they might be.

Been a long time down there now, poor kids would be freaking out if they're still alive.
