Speaking of Neymar, he embodies what I dislike about Soccer... a bunch of poofs.

How can a stadium full of people get so worked up about a game where nobody scores a goal. No wonder soccer hooligans are... nah, fuck it. Not worth the words 555

Wild Boar football team jerseys with names and numbers with the proceeds going to their schooling and healthcare?
It'd be a winner If managed by the right people which would be the biggest problem.

News here tonight , the press have been given access to film taken thru the glass barrier and other video of the rescue.

The boys look remarkably well and have face masks on to prevent infection.

Thailand has announced they are giving every foreign volunteer a free week holiday in Thailand, all expenses paid, business class return tickets included, 1st class accommodation etc to be at anytime they want. So they can come and enjoy Thailand under comfortable conditions. As a way to thank them.

The boys are going to be kept in for 7 days so some of the 1st will be out early next week, all going to plan.

Thank fuc that's over and done with.
I would have called International Rescue and the whole thing would have been done without the publicity.

Anyhow the caves will be open again to tourists once the entry fees are increased.

    And now for the clean-up

Thousands of volunteers join Tham Luang ‘Big Cleaning’ activity
    July 14, 2018
    The Nation
Some 4,000 volunteers joined the "Big Cleaning" day activity initiated by His Majesty the King at Tham Luang in Chiang Rai province on Saturday morning to restore its natural beauty.

The work to restore the landscape of Tham Luang and the area around the Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park in Mae Sai district started at 9am, presided over by AM Suphichai Sunthornbura, deputy secretary-general of the Royal Household Bureau.

The volunteers were those who had registered under the “We Do Good Things With Heart” programme initiated by the King. In addition to cleaning and improving the landscape in front of and inside the Tham Luang cave, the volunteers also helped restore the natural surroundings at Pha Mee and Kiew Khor Nang where rescue workers had built dykes to divert water from the cave. The dykes were removed to restore the same natural ecosystem.

The volunteers also restored and improved the landscape of Tham Sai Thong cave where several holes were dug to drain water. They also cleaned three temples where troops had stayed during the rescue operation. Restoration of the natural landscape is expected to take two days.

At 9.09am on Monday, new Chiang Rai Governor Prajon Pratsakul will hold a religious rite to make merit for former Navy SEAL Saman Kunan, who died during the rescue operation, and to make offerings to sacred spirits at the national park.

^ and the many 100,000 bahts worth of 3" HDPE water (pump) pipe will be eagerly 'recycled'. It's a good thing so much product was donated and will end up helping the local community.

Dr Richard Harris was briefly interviewed on News yesterday, he came out from his home, He thanked the press for respecting his and his family's privacy at this time.

He said he was glad with the result in Thailand and pleased to have helped but now has to address the arrangements of his fathers funeral and celebrate his life, after which he just wants everything to get back to normal as quickly as possible.

He didn't take questions, just smiled and went back inside the fence.

    Found this on Facebook...

Coach Ake (Ekkapol Ake Chantawong) - 25 years old, kept the incredibly brave and resilient young soccer players safe inside the cave. Here's a bit about him: He lost his entire family when he was just 10 yrs old. He became a Buddhist monk, and was raised in the monastery; he now devotes his life to young people and to the boys he coaches.

Inside the cave he taught the boys to meditate in order to stay calm and to conserve their energy; he helped them to keep their spirits up and he refused food - instead giving the boys his rations.

After the rescue, he was in the worst shape of the group and he was the last one rescued out.

His aunt says that she knows he is probably blaming himself. The parents of the trapped boys say “We will heal his heart”.

*There is some confusion around this...Ake did not "lead" the kids down there...he went down to find them and a flash flood came and caused them to find a safe space deeper in the cave system. I urge my fellow human beings to discover your empathy and at the very least - study the situation before unleashing outrage on someone who does not deserve it.

I always thought that bloke had a few screws loose !

See they did heavily medicate the boys, which I thought would be the case - otherwise one of them may have freaked out and potentially put lives at further risk.
