    Weather/destination alternative in 2 weeks

So I will be in BKK in 2 weeks on 19th
I am booked there from 19-22
That is all we are locked into, those 3 days in BKK

Our plan is to fly to Krabi for 3 days, Khao Sok for 2 days and Patong for 3 days

But Thailand seems a bit wet

So if it was going to be really bad.............does anyone have any alternative recommendations in either Thailand or SEA?

    Thanks

I would cancel the trip (if you can without losing money) and wait a few months till the dry season kicks in.

    Samui might be ok?
My only experience was in a pie making factory managing the gravy team

It's not really a holiday in a sense I am going to see my wife and family

    So not going to cancel

So in the end, I am not going to freak out if it rains a lot.........but if it looks real and there is somewhere else I can go to, I would

So wouldn't want to have to search around for drinks

Even in Ao Nang I ran into a couple hotels that were alcohol free

Been in Phuket in Oct ,only had one day of rain, give it a go, as you say priority is family time rather than sightseeing / sunbathing

    Yup
I don't even care if it rains 1/2 the time

I'm just getting info in case it is crazy

Dupree and I were in Mexico and the last 5 days or so was so bad you could barely go out

But if it is just like it's been now
    I am fine with that

But still won't book anything until right before I head to BKK

The good thing about Thailand is you don't need the sun to swim and hang out by pool because it's still hot

Which sometimes is even better than a super hot sun

If you are ok to hang out in a bar during the day whilst it's chucking it down then great. I remember Phuket a few years ago. Middle of January and it was raining near non stop for 3 days. Freak weather.

Was bored out of my brain. Fortunately I met a girl whom I became a bit infatuated with so that helped to pass the time. 555

If you're going to be there anyway then maybe stay in bkk as you will lots more options to pass the time.

Visit family then head over to Singapore, stay at a nice place and just sip cocktails and eat good food.
Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.

I wasn't a big fan of Singapore as tourist
I don't think I'd mind living there though

I'd just as well stay in BKK
And if raining that bad I may end up hanging in BKK a bit longer then flying up to Tokyo for 5 days or so
Ao had never been and that's my connecting flight so see if I could change

But we shall see I think weather down south will be suitable enough to still head down there
I hope so I'm looking forward to it
